Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Contact UsHello, I am Kim Barnett, the proud owner of the Primrose School of Castle Rock. I am also honored to be the owner of three Primrose schools in Atlanta, Georgia.
I was first introduced to Primrose in 2009, and immediately fell in love with the way that Primrose brings the best in educational child care to families and children. This is accomplished through the Balanced Learning® curriculum and a focus on character development and relationships with parents. I understand the importance of working with the leadership team of the school to constantly strive to create the best environment for children. Whether it's social-emotional development, curriculum, nutrition or a safe environment, every aspect needs to be at its absolute best to help children develop and grow.
Prior to becoming a franchise owner, I was a Primrose teacher and then an executive director at the Primrose School of East Cobb at Sprayberry, which is in a suburb of Atlanta. Having earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University, I have taught all ages from infant to adult and have over thirty years of experience in education and business operations.
“Who children become is just as important as what they know” is a belief that is at the core of the Balanced Learning® approach. The exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence, and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing early learning experience for children and their families.
We are conveniently located, right down the street from the Outlets at Castle Rock on New Abbey Lane, right off Interstate 25 and Castle Rock Parkway. Unlike an ordinary daycare in Castle Rock, we provide your child with a robust early education and child care experience.

At Primrose, your child will get more than an infant daycare experience. Our teachers help your child develop and grow, building one skill upon another, which is why we are the leader in infant child care.
Primrose offers programs from Infants to Pre-K and beyond. Click to explore more.
Fostering a sense of belongingness has been a part of every day at Primrose for the past 40 years, and we’re excited to invite all families, from Primrose and beyond, to join in as we celebrate the annual National Day of Belongingness on September 29.
Please be aware that we require all enrolled children to be current with vaccinations per AAP guidelines or to be on a pediatrician approved CDC catch-up schedule. To protect the health and well-being of the children in our care, we do not offer admission to children who are not current with their immunizations even if parents have filed an exemption with the state of Colorado on their behalf.
Try these easy at-home activities to promote character and social growth that will help children celebrate their similarities and differences, and help create connections with others.
The importance of a child's first five years.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
