At Primrose, your child will get more than an infant daycare experience. Our teachers help your child develop and grow, building one skill upon another, which is why we are the leader in infant child care.
Valentine's Day was especially fun at Primrose! We wore red and pink and lots of hearts! We had so much fun making and delivering Valentines to our friends in different classrooms! We ate pink bagels and had special cards delivered from our Family! There was so much LOVE on Valentine's Day!
We are so happy to have our first day of school!
Young children learn about responsibility long before putting a name to the concept. At Primrose, we understand that responsibility helps in developing further skills tied to accountability and helping others.
We were proud to partner with Helping Hands Rescue Mission in Huntington to contribute food and other non-perishable items, donated by families and staff members through our Caring and Giving Food Drive. We were able to donate over 100 items and look forward to partnering with them in December for their toy drive!
One of the most common questions parents have about newborns and infants relates to tummy time and just how much of it babies should get. Before jumping into the answer, let’s take a look at what tummy time is, how it came about, and why it is now so commonly recommended as an important activity for babies.
The Primrose Friends are in a new series that brings the same lessons and purposeful play found in every Primrose classroom to a screen near you.
Check out this post for more ways to make bedtime easier for you and your child!
Sunday, September 13th was Grandparent's Day!
Our new exclusive Harmony & Heart™ program integrates our proprietary music and books in a variety of thoughtful ways each day. Through learning about music, while simultaneously being exposed to concepts in math, language, and character development, your child will grow as a musician, a student, and a person.
How could we ever thank teachers for all that they do for us? Well we started with some awesome facebook shout outs and three lucky teachers won gift cards!
Wednesday, September 16th we celebrated a very important day - Working Parents Day!
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Come one, come all and be swept away to an island with fellow socially distanced, masked, but wonderfully fun friends. Island themed crafts, playtime in Social Play Haus' gorgeous indoor playspace, and an outdoor sit-in movie experience to watch MOANA.
Happy Father's Day!!! We at Primrose of Woodbury NY celebrated Father's Day by surprising our special Primrose families with DIY kite making kits.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
"We believe who children become is as important as what they know." That is our ethos. The core of our belief system. With our continuous mission to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for ALL children. Our Balanced Learning Approach was developed with a foundational focus to teach good character, introduced and reinforced through our Primrose Puppet Friends who represent an array of character traits we would want our children to imbibe to be good quality model citizens. This age is critical in shaping the people we become so its that much more important to teach and model the peopel we want them to become. Its never too early to start: https://www.zerotothree.org/resources/1598-racism-and-violence-using-your-power-as-a-parent-to-support-children-aged-two-to-five
We celebrated Earth Day in a fantastically cute way. We prepared Earth Day baskets for our enrolled families and they were a super hit! We included activities like: taking care of a plant, nature scavenger hunt, Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar followed by a caterpillar craft, recycling (paper, plastic, metal) sorting activity with household items in paper bags, and Earth Day yoga. We dropped off the baskets to the doorsteps of our families and were greeted with beautiful pictures and videos!
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
Rahul and Shveta Alreja from Primrose of Woodbury NY and some friends have begun a charity, Fortify the Front, to raise money to bring food and other necessities to our heroes on the frontlines during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are supporting the small businesses by partnering with local restaurants to provide fresh meals for workers at local hospitals, fire departments, police stations, post offices, etc. 100% of all money raised will be used to offset the cost of the food that will be delivered. Thank you in advance - together, LET'S FORTIFY THE FRONT!
One month ago, we hosted a live presentation of science experiments from our curriculum at the Blippi Live Show. We've since edited and posted this on Youtube. Take a look - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aeijyr8QOHk
