Hi, I am Julie Bowman. I am the proud owner and operator of the Primrose School at WestClay, the Primrose School at Bridgewater, the Primrose School at West Carmel, and the Primrose School at Grand Park. My husband Bryan and I have three beautiful children named Adelyn, Gavin, and Alaina. My love for my family and my passion for education are what drove me to open my Primrose School.
My lifelong dream has been to open a school of my own. After researching schools and the requirements to start my own, I stumbled upon Primrose Schools. I continue to be amazed by Primrose's outstanding approach to education, their accredited curriculum and their character development programs.
My professional career has been in education for the past 11 years with Hamilton Southeastern Schools. While with HSES, I worked as a special education teacher at the elementary and high school levels for 5 years, as an assistant principal for 3 years, and spent the last 3 years as the Principal at Sand Creek Intermediate School. I have a Bachelors Degree in Special Education, a Director of Special Education degree, a Masters in School Administration and have finished all coursework to receive my doctorate in education administration.
Carmel is an amazing community and I am pleased that I have had the opportunity to open the Primrose School at WestClay. Our preschool is an outstanding school with NCA accredited curriculum. Our Primrose School is like no other private preschool in the state of Indiana. Please give us the opportunity to show you how much of a difference we can make in your children's lives. I promise you will not be disappointed!
We are conveniently located on Moultrie Street, right down the road from the Village of WestClay and College Wood Elementary School. Unlike an ordinary daycare in Carmel, we provide your child with a robust early education and child care experience.

Congratulations to the Campbell family, our March Family of the Month! Noah and Kristen are the proud parents of Max. What a joy it has been to watch Max grow! Their family loves going to coffee shops and the park, playing with our cousins, splashing around in water, baking/cooking and wrestling with daddy! We are so glad that the Campbell Family is a part of our school!

Congratulations to Ms. Lavanya for being the Apple of our Eye for March! Ms. Lavanya came to us in 2022 and comes with prior childcare experience! She said she decided to be a Primrose teacher because ever since I started babysitting, I knew wanted to continue to work with children. I enjoy Primrose commitment towards the childcare and wanted to a part of it. I enjoy being able to help children with their early education and growth!
Telling little white lies may sometimes be the easier route with young children. Check out these five tips that will help you navigate those tricky conversations.
We are now offering a fun all-day program for school age children!
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
