My name is Melissa Hoisington, and I have been with Primrose School of Hickory Creek since 2004, when I started as the school’s Director. In 2012, I became the Franchise Owner, and I am proud that we have continued to fulfill our reputation as the leaders of quality early childhood education and care in the Lake Cities area!
I discovered Primrose as a teacher back in 2001 before I had my own family, and I have now been fortunate enough to have my own 2 daughters attend the school with me during those important years of their life when they were little (born in 2007 & 2009). I am very passionate about child advocacy, so I serve on various state workgroups, including the Texas Early Learning Council, TLCCA Board of Directors, and I coordinate the advocacy program for all of our Primrose schools in Texas. I was also happy to serve as our region’s Primrose National Advisory Council representative from 2022 through 2023.
I firmly believe in keeping the lines of communication open with all of our families. It seems natural to us that we treat our Primrose families as an extension of our own family, because we feel like we are all partnering together on the same team. Our goal is to help you balance your busy life, and give you a peace of mind when you leave our school every morning. We are committed to your child’s safety and well-being, and you will see how our wonderful curriculum gives your little one the foundation they need for success in these crucial years of their development.
Please give us a call, and we would love to answer any questions you might have about what we have to offer your family. Tour appointments are offered from 10:00-2:00 daily, and we can work to accommodate your schedule if you would like to schedule a tour outside of those hours. For safety reasons, we are only able to do drop-in tours when we have two management team members present at the school, so we encourage you to make an appointment when at all possible to ensure you are able to see our entire school. Even though we keep our doors locked at all times, we require that a member of our management team is stationed at the front desk at all times. Currently enrolled families always enjoy the freedom to drop by anytime with our Open Door Policy, and we invite visiting families to come by unannounced after your initial tour should you have the desire to do so.
Research has shown that the first 5 years of a child’s life are the most critical in shaping their personality and will set the tone for who they become later in life, so we are ready to answer the many questions you might have as to how Primrose can make a difference for your child.
