Anne and Andy Almond

Meet Anne and Andy, dedicated parents and Franchise Owners of the Primrose School of East Louisville & Primrose School at Old Henry Crossing. Understanding the value of early childhood education and character development, the Almonds were excited to bring the first Primrose school to the state of Kentucky. Anne and Andy were college sweethearts, and met while attending Indiana University. Following graduation, the couple married and made a home in Columbus, Ohio. The Almonds were first introduced to Primrose while exploring childcare options for their daughter. After seeing how quickly she was learning new skills, they became avid supporters. As a Louisville native, Anne recognized a high demand in the area for quality early childhood education. She is thrilled with the opportunity to bring the Primrose experience to her community. Our daughter started in the infant room at Primrose, where sign language is taught. Andy and I realized how much she was learning when, at only 8-months-old, we saw her point to a pumpkin and use the correct sign, said Anne. It was incredible to start communicating with our daughter at such a young age. After moving to Louisville, our son was born and had the opportunity to received a Primrose education. Coming from a family of educators and entrepreneurs, Anne is a natural fit for Primrose. She has a background in marketing and sales, but she has also dreamed of owning her own business. Her love of children and interest in education made Primrose the right choice. Andy has now joined the Primrose team and feel so lucky to have him help support both schools every day. We understand that choosing a childcare is a big decision for parents. We want to be able to provide them with peace of mind. Primrose stands out for its well-rounded learning experiences in a safe and nurturing learning environment. We look forward to providing a carefully developed learning experience that will help children succeed later in life, added Anne. Primrose School of East Louisville features the Balanced Learning¬ system for children ages six weeks to five years of age. Developed and taught exclusively at Primrose Schools, Balanced Learning blends teacher-directed and child-initiated activities with special emphasis on character development in the schools. The goal of shaping young people who are prepared for success in learning and in life also filters into the Primrose Explorers after-school program for students up to age 12.
