Franchise Owner
Christine and Mike Edwards
Hi, we are Mike and Christine Edwards and we are the Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Lakehill. As active owners of our Primrose School, we pride ourselves in being hands on in the daily running of our school and knowing all our Lakehill students and families. Our goal is to make Primrose School of Lakehill the first choice for your Early Childhood Education and Care.
Mike is a lifelong resident of the DFW area and a business graduate from the University of North Texas. Christine began her career in early Childhood Education in 2002, first as a Preschool Teacher and eventually as a Director of a Primrose School. In 2013, we had the opportunity to become Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Lakehill and in 2020, after a long career in retail, Mike joined Christine full time at Lakehill.
Together, we have four children and six grandchildren. We have been blessed to have our five youngest grandchildren attend our school and have firsthand knowledge of how the Balanced Learning Curriculum benefits students.
We thank you for visiting our school website. We would love to meet you, show you our school, and tell you more about the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum. Please call us at 972-668-4300, to schedule your tour.
Sincerely,
Mike and Christine Edwards
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?
Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?
Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.
How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?
All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am-6:00 pm.
How do you keep parents informed about their child's day?
Connecting school to home is one of the ways we help children thrive. We use the Procare app to share daily updates and photos so you stay connected to your child’s joy, learning and special moments
