Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Contact UsWe are Shannan Arbabi and Andrew Gol, proud owners of the Primrose School of West Allen since 2002! We believe that our backgrounds and experiences shaped our vision for our school, and it is a true joy to see it come to life each day.
Shannan was raised in Oklahoma, but moved to Texas quickly after graduating from law school. Shannan's legal career has been spent mainly in the area of school law, representing public school districts in matters related to special education, employment, and student issues. Shannan has also been actively involved in the daily operations of Primrose for the past 20 years. Andrew, a native of Houston, holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from UT Austin and UNT, and also earned his Ph.D at Texas Tech University. After working in school administration, Andrew built a strong family therapy practice over 25 years, working with children and also adults. Together, we embrace the Primrose School of West Allen culture and enjoy relationships with our amazing staff and wonderful families. Over the years, Primrose has become our extended family and we are so proud of the reputation our school has earned.
We also have 2 children, who both attended our Primrose school through Kindergarten. Alec, now 25, started Primrose at age 3. Alec graduated from the University of Utah and is pursuing a career in military intelligence and operations. Ali, 18, started Primrose as an infant, graduated from Lovejoy High School, and is now attending the University of Florida (Go Gators!). Ali is a competitive equestrian show jumper and plans to pursue a related career after college. We cannot speak about our family without mentioning Oakley, our 3-year old bernedoodle. Oakley adds joy and comedy to our family each day and loves to play on the Primrose playground when the school is closed!
Many parents and staff say there is something unique about the family feel of our school. We are so grateful that our team of teachers and leadership team members embrace shared values and a sincere passion for the children in our care. We sincerely enjoy our active roles in the school each day and we look forward to meeting your family soon!
Sincerely,
Shannan and Andrew

WOW Moment! Our school has been recognized by the US House of Representatives after our Primrose West Allen Robotics Team won 1st place in the National Ready, Set, Robotics competition 2023! Specifically, we were commended for our achievements in robotics with young learners and our charity donation of $2500 prize money to St Jude's children's research hospital. We are so proud of our robotics team students and our staff who coached them along this journey.
Fostering a sense of belongingness has been a part of every day at Primrose for the past 40 years, and we’re excited to invite all families, from Primrose and beyond, to join in as we celebrate the annual National Day of Belongingness on September 29.
We want to reach out with a sincere thank you to our families who provided the opportunity for our staff to come together on Monday for training, and a little bit of team building fun at the end of the day. We enjoyed working with each other to earn our bike parts and build six bikes! We donated the bikes, locally, to Boyd Elementary, the only title I school in Allen. They were so excited to receive them just before their bike-athon event, where they would give the bikes to children in need. Last year, they gave away four bikes, this year, they have six to giveaway. We are so happy that our Primrose West Allen family could come together to make the day for six lucky children.

These three agencies provide our institution accreditations for social, emotional and academic education that are recognized throughout the world.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Dear Primrose Families, We are really proud to share with all of you that recently our school was awarded a perfect score of 100.00% on the Primrose Standard of Excellence Accreditation, meaning our school exemplifies the Primrose model in classroom and campus performance! AMAZING!!! We don't have enough words to express how proud and thankful we are of our Leadership Team, Staff and Owners. This wonderful qualification is an achievement for all of us.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
At Primrose Schools®, we know robotics and STEAM learning (science, technology, engineering, art and math) are fun ways to build far more than academic skills. They also help children practice social and emotional skills like problem solving and collaboration. That’s why we introduced the new Ready, Set, Robotics! unit and charity challenge at Primrose Schools Summer Adventure Clubs across the country. During this two-week summer challenge, elementary-aged students solved problems through coding, design thinking and engineering. They worked together to code the classroom robot—Dash—to help it navigate mazes and special missions. Then they brought those new robotics skills into a friendly competition where teams designed and engineered an original solution and created a video showcasing their project. More than 80 schools participated, and the schools of the three winning teams were given funds to donate to local charities of their choice.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
We are conveniently located on Tatum Drive, right down the road from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital and minutes away from Ereckson Middle School and Rasor Elementary School. Unlike an ordinary daycare in Allen, we provide your child with a robust early education and child care experience.

Our Primrose students have been hard at work in the Primrose Patch this spring - and look what they've grown! Beautiful flowers and wonderful herbs to be shared with all our families! Green thumbs abound in our Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Explorer's programs! Way to GO!
In an effort to Go Green to create a better world for our children, we are investing in solar panels. It is exciting to work with Sunpro Solar on this project. Several of our children with their curious minds have asked what the panels are and it has been fun to teach them about solar energy and electricity.
"Shared Vision" is a unique work of art created during a collaborative staff experience. Each staff member worked independently to express their own individual style while keeping our shared vision in mind.
