Primrose School of Broken Arrow

The health and safety of our staff and the children entrusted to our care is our top priority. We are proud to maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Health & Safety Practices in Place

  • Our school is equipped with a Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) that acts as the first line of defense in improving indoor air quality by properly conditioning and filtering all incoming outdoor air required to ventilate the building. In addition, to increasing air exchanges with outside air into the building we have GPS units installed in each of the supply ducts further treating the conditioned air. The equipment by Global Plasma Solution (GPS) is an auto-cleaning, needlepoint bi-polar ionization technology. The benefits are particle reduction, odors neutralized by destroying VOCs, and pathogen destruction, which minimizes the amount of airborne pathogens and ultimate cross-contamination of germs between the children and staff. As a result, reducing Bacteria, Viruses, Mold and helps to control Allergens and Asthma.
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys daily. Meet the ZONO! The disinfecting and sanitizing solution to help our staff and you feel safe and clean. The ZONO Ozone Cabinet eliminates odors, kills 99.99% of common viruses on non-porous surfaces and 99.9% of common bacteria on non-porous, porous, and semi-porous surfaces. This revolutionizes the way we sanitize by including all items our children use without liquid chemicals. The ZONO allows teachers to disinfect and sanitize items throughout the day, without taking time away from teaching and caring for their students.
  • Nightly cleaning of all classrooms and common areas by a professional cleaning company
  • During a pandemic, health screening and temperature checks upon arrival and at least one other time per day for children and staff. Limit visitation.
  • Touch-free child check-in via QR code feature on the Procare app
  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever-free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols (e.g., upon arrival, before/after meals, restroom, playground, etc.)
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-to-student classroom ratios. Eliminate combining children where feasible from different classrooms.
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
  • Monthly fire, lockdown, and tornado/earthquake drills. The school has a reinforced Storm Shelter.
