  • Rob and Samantha Martin, Franchise Owner

    Rob and Samantha Martin

    Franchise Owners

The Primrose School of Wilmington at Medical Center is independently owned and operated by Rob and Samantha Martin. The couple became interested in childcare as a business when they moved their growing family from Atlanta to Wilmington in 2016. They were unprepared for the limited number of options for quality childcare and long waitlists. This gap in the market led the Martins to start looking into opening their own school. Rob and Samantha were very impressed with the amount of support that Primrose provided new owners in addition to their proprietary Balanced Curriculum. They knew that Wilmington would be a great place to open a Primrose school, and decided to bring the premium brand to the Port City. With the assistance of Primrose's real estate team, they found and purchased a childcare center that had recently closed in the midtown area. Over the course of the next 7 months, the building and outdoor spaces were completely renovated. The property was transformed and brought back to life along with many other properties in the hospital corridor. They re-opened the school as a Primrose in November 2020.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Accounting from Georgia Tech. Rob has been an successful entrepreneur, and is bringing his aptitude for financial management and strategic planning to the school. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Minor in Finance from Indiana University. Samantha is a small business lender, and works with other business owners to start, grow, and expand their businesses.

Rob and Samantha are excited to deliver the Primrose Experience to the families of Wilmington!
