In 2018, Jasmine relocated back to her hometown, Knoxville, TN from Atlanta, GA to be closer to her immediate family. Jasmine works in the healthcare field and has a small graphic design business. Jasmine enjoys traveling, party planning for children, and exploring various cultural cuisines. However, Jasmine’s priority is spending quality time with Kai.
Jasmine’s initial plan was for her mother, GiGi, to be Kai's full-time babysitter, however, it was thought to be in Kai’s best interest to be around other children. Kai was learning at a fast pace at home and her family decided Kai needed to have the social stimulation that would enhance her growth and development. After researching and visiting several schools in the area, Jasmine decided Primrose of West Knoxville was the best fit for Kai.
Kai's first day at Primrose of West Knoxville was in January 2019 in the Early Preschool classroom. As a new parent, Jasmine was concerned about how Kai would adjust to a new environment without Jasmine or GiGi. Jasmine was amazed and couldn’t have been happier to see Kai bond with Ms. Alida and Ms. Katie.From her first day at Primrose of West Knoxville, Kai has thrived and learned so much. Kai’s language skills progressed astronomically; her social skills improved; her comprehension of stories continued to improve. Kai has made friends that she has become close to since her first day at Primrose of West Knoxville.Kai sees everyone as her “best friend”.
Kai has now progressed to Preschool Pathways with Ms. Patti and Ms. Felisha. Jasmine, GiGi, and Poppy couldn’t be happier to see our sweet Kai love and care so much about her teachers, friends, and school. In Preschool Pathways Kai mastered potty training. She has also learned to recite the Pledge of Allegiance; talk about the Solar System;
photosynthesis; the parts of a book; different dinosaurs; the life cycle of a butterfly, and various other science projects. Kai is happy and thriving like her family expected.
Jasmine would share with anyone considering Primrose of West Knoxville that everyone from Kai's immediate teachers, administrative and support staff feels like family. It really says a lot when your child is excited to go to school in the morning and doesn't want to leave. Kai adores her teachers and loves playing with all her "best friends". Primrose of West Knoxville has proven to be an excellent choice to begin Kai's early education and Jasmine is forever grateful for the dedication and compassion of all the teachers and staff.
During this pandemic, the staff and teachers of Primrose of West Knoxville have kept the school clean and safe for all the children to enter and continue to learn. Jasmine, GiGi, and Poppy are appreciative of the diligence of Primrose of West Knoxville in caring about the safety, health and wellbeing of the children and staff during this unprecedented time.
