THE BABAEI’S-(Madison 5 Makenzie 2) Tanya and Hooman Our family came to Primrose West Cinco Ranch when our oldest Madison was turning one and we had recently moved to the Cinco Ranch area. This fall Madison will attend kindergarten in public school ;however, we will look to Primrose to provide care for Madison in the amazing way that they always have after her school day. Our second child Makenzie has attended Primrose since she was 10 weeks old and is now in preschool and loves her classroom and teachers who care for her. Our family is grateful for all the teachers, administrators, and maintenance staff who provide support for Hooman and myself to do our jobs we love. Hooman is an IT architect and I am a clinical social worker at a local hospital. We were referred to Primrose from a personal friend and it was the most important piece to have our family supported as it grew to our family of four. A big thank you to everyone who has supported our family over the years and a few more to come.
You remember dropping your little one off for their first day of school or child care.
Congratulations to Mrs. Michelle Braucht. We have been truly grateful to have such a great teacher to grace our mist. Michelle started in our Venture program in Preschool and then moved to PPK B as an assistant teacher to Mrs. Parks. She joined the Primrose family in August 2015. She is the proud mother of four beautiful children (three girls and one boy) along with her loving husband Joshua. Michelle is a very a very productive teacher that can work anywhere within the building. Michelle enjoys the outdoors; she has made sure our Primrose Patch is cultivated and growing with all kinds of vegetables. Students enjoy being with her, especially in the garden. Michelle has the characteristics of our puppet Irwin, who is capable of making great achievements and good times more enjoyable. “The only way to have a friend is to be one.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I’ve never felt as inadequate, unprepared and terrified as I did in those first moments that I held my baby in my arms.

As a parent, I know it can be all too tempting to entertain your child with screen time.
The shift from preschool to kindergarten is a big milestone for any child. This huge step will be full of excitement, but it is also a time of new beginnings and routines. In the spirit of National Kindergarten Day, we asked three parents to share their secrets to success while their children were in kindergarten:
My daughter was a slow-to-warm-up baby and a well-behaved toddler. She never hit or pushed, but instead used her words — like the time she famously told me at age three, “Mommy, I don’t like the choices you’re choicing me.”
Play is a crucial part of the social, emotional and imaginative development of young children, but not all play is created equal!
