Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Schedule A TourMeet Dona and Roland Young, proud Franchise Owners of Primrose School of West Chester and two Primrose on Premise schools located on corporate campuses of the Procter & Gamble (P&G) Company: Primrose School at P&G GO Child Development Center and Primrose School at P&G Winton Hill Child Development Center.
The Youngs – who have three grown children – have been married for nearly 40 years, and always dreamed of building a business together. They decided to join the Primrose Family because they love children, believe in the importance of meaningful educational experiences and want to help families balance the demands of their careers and family lives. The couple moved to Cincinnati in 2010 to open their first Primrose school and will open their second and third Primrose schools on two of P&G’s campuses in January 2017.
Before becoming a Franchise Owner, Dona served as chairman, president and CEO of a Fortune 1000 company that provides life, annuity and asset management products. During the course of her 30-year career, she has honed a passion for education, talent development, business and corporate governance. Dona serves on two corporate boards, is an elected trustee of Save the Children and Save the Children International, and also serves on the board of the Saint James School, a preparatory school in Maryland. An active business consultant, Dona provides high-level guidance and support for their Primrose schools.
A graduate of Cornell University, Roland practiced law for 30 years and was the managing partner of a Connecticut law firm prior to pursuing his lifelong dream of nurturing and growing a business of his own. He has also taught at the junior high, high school and graduate school levels. Roland is a passionate, spirited and hands-on Franchise Owner who manages the majority of the operations for their schools. As a litigator, Roland measured his success based on wins for his clients. These days, he measures his success by the hugs and high fives he receives from Primrose children and the developmental accomplishments he witnesses.
Dona and Roland love offering a loving, warm atmosphere where children can grow Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts®. Longtime supporters of Primrose Schools, the Youngs are thrilled to provide the quality experience they know and love to children and families in the Cincinnati area.
Their three Primrose schools feature the Balanced Learning® curriculum in infant through Pre-Kindergarten classrooms and the Primrose Explorers before- and after-school program for students up to age 12. Developed and taught exclusively at Primrose Schools, the research-informed curriculum blends purposeful play with nurturing guidance to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion.

January Family of the Month- The Yazdian Family Here is a bit about them! 1.Please provide a short bio about your family. Include fun facts about yourselves, special activities you participate in, etc! Reza, Lisa, Alex, and Nico live with their black cat, Percy. Alex and Nico are actively involved in swimming and karate, and in the spring, Alex will continue playing soccer. Reza is a Cincinnati native and Lisa was born and raised in NY; they are both only children. They met while pursuing graduate work in Michigan and decided to make their home in West Chester. Reza started and runs a medical device distributorship company called Synchrocare, LLC and Lisa manages education and engagement efforts at CET/PBS. When not at work or school, the family enjoys going on adventures and trying new food. Kings Island, museums, zoos, and festivals are all places of interest. They enjoy watching movies, reading, and playing games as a family, and both boys enjoy building and learning new things on the iPad. 2.How long has your child/children been attending Primrose? Alex since August 2021 Nico since February 2022 3.What age groups/classrooms are your children in? Alex is in the before and after school Explorers program with Ms. Carter and Nico is in preschool with Ms. Rogers and Mr. Haynes. 4.What is your favorite thing about Primrose? We appreciate the warm and consistent care our children receive and the fact they remain happy and challenged. 5.What is your favorite family tradition you have? Since Reza was raised in the area and frequented Kings Island in his youth, we attend year-round so the boys can create their own memories.
STEAM projects can help your child with their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Try these at home activities based on your child’s classroom.

Often times the Holiday Season brings irregular schedules for your little ones. Here are some tips on getting back into a routine before school starts.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Our new exclusive Harmony & Heart® program integrates our proprietary music and books in a variety of thoughtful ways each day. Through learning about music, while simultaneously being exposed to concepts in math, language, and character development, your child will grow as a musician, a student, and a person.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
