    Executive Director

My name is Mrs. Engle. I’m originally from Mexico City. I graduated from the Universidad del Valle de Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in Administration in Gastronomic Business. I’m fluent in 2 languages; English and Spanish. I have been working in early childhood for over 8 years. I believe that we should never stop learning. I am currently continuing my education in Early Childhood at Penn Valley Community College. I’m married and have two adorable daughters that I love to spend my free time with. We love to discover fun places around Kansas City. I like to watch Netflix, travel, and go shopping.

I think every child is capable of so many wonderful things. We just have to take the time to help every child learn to grow, learn to explore, learn to inquire and learn to believe in one another. I look forward to meeting all the Primrose families and helping their children grow.

    Curriculum Director

Hi, I am Mrs. Dearman. I am from Kansas City and have been in early childhood education for over 10 years. I have had the privilege of working as a toddler teacher at a Primrose school for 6 years. I am so excited to be the curriculum coach and lead our teachers through the incredible Primrose curriculum. I have seen firsthand how it sets us apart from other schools. I look forward to mentoring our teachers and helping them achieve excellence in the classroom.

My husband and I will be married two years this September. When I am not at Primrose, I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy cooking, reading, watching Netflix, being outdoors & spending time relaxing at the pool. I am thrilled to be the Curriculum Director at the Primrose school of Ward Parkway. I look forward to welcoming you all to our beautiful school.

  • Cory & Brie Meschke

    Franchise Owners

    Welcome to Primrose Schools.

We are the proud owners, Cory and Brie Meschke, of Primrose of Ward Parkway!

I graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelors of science in education, and later received my Masters degree in Education from Baker University. I spent 20 years as an educator in a local high school and was the head boys and girls track and field coach for 10 years. My husband Cory and I met in high school and both attended the University of Kansas. He achieved Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelors of arts degree in Biology, and has owned a successful small business in the health care industry for over 10 years. Our greatest enjoyment outside of Primrose is the precious time we spend with our own family. Attending one of our children's many sporting events or activities is always a true pleasure for us. And as every proud Kansas Citian, we love cheering on our local sports teams!

We found ourselves looking for a career change where we could work together as a team, and also make a lasting difference in peoples’ lives. We wanted to dedicate our lives and future to a family business, and we could not be prouder of the decision we made to become part of the Primrose family of schools.

10 years ago, in an attempt to find a place for our son while I was working as a teacher, we struggled to find quality early care for our son Charlie. One of the best decisions we have made as parents was to enroll our son in a local Primrose school. Two girls later (Ruby and Sylvie), and we still feel our Primrose education experience has helped shape all of their lives forever. We already have two proud Primrose graduates and Sylvie will graduate from Primrose later this year.

It became clear that Primrose had not only prepared our children intellectually in their learning, but equally as important, we came to realize that our children were coming home from school and demonstrating continual evolution of personal character growth. We noticed a kindness and caring for their fellow students, a true willingness to help others, and an appreciation for teamwork and, of course, scholastic education.

We truly believe that what we do matters. Our philosophy is based on the Primrose simple, yet powerful phrase. “We believe who children become is as important as what they know”. We are so excited to be opening our own Primrose School to be giving others this opportunity.

We welcome you to the Primrose of Ward Parkway.
