Primrose School of Symmes Summer Adventure Club is a full day summer camp where learning, adventures and memories happen every day! Each week is planned around an exciting theme with corresponding activities, guest speakers & field trips. Campers can sign up for the whole summer or for specific weeks.
Daily Camp Activities Include:
-Team Building Activities
-Physical Exercise Activities
-Skills Practice based on themes
-Gardening in the Primrose Patch
-Camp fee covers a camp T-shirt, a water bottle, educational activities, guest speakers, field trips, two snacks per day and daily lunch.
-5 Days: $260
-3 Days: $185 M-W-F
-Campers enrolled all 12 weeks will receive a $10 discount per week.
May 26-29: Summer Fun has Begun!
Welcome to camp! This week, campers will explore an introductory unit while learning the camp routine! Daily writing, reading, physical, and skill-building activities will take place and will continue throughout the summer. Campers will also enjoy Kona Ice, their first water day, and a field trip to the Reds Hall of Fame!
June 1-5: Swinging into Sports
Want to learn about soccer, baseball, and other sports around the world? Campers will learn all the history and rules of a variety of sports and will also take their knowledge to the field! Highlights will include bowling at Mason Bowl and roller skating at Castle Skateland.
June 8-12: Animal Adventures
Animals, animals, animals---from aardvark to zebra! Campers will explore the wild world of animals, including the different classifications of animals and what makes them unique! Highlights will include field trips to the Cincinnati Zoo and a visit from Ohio Falconry.
June 15-19: Let’s Explore the Great Outdoors!
Join us for a week of outdoor adventure. Campers will learn all about the great outdoors through hiking, creeking, and exploring the nature around them first-hand. Highlights will include visits to the Krohn Conservatory and Nisbet Park.
June 22-26: Master Chef Minis
Are you the next Julia Child or Emeril Lagasse? Campers will learn about cooking techniques and the cultures that influence cooking. We will create dishes of our own and even shop for our own ingredients! Highlights will include a scavenger hunt at Jungle Jim’s, making pizza at Marco’s, and a guest speaker.
June 29-July 3: Crack the Case!
There is no “I” in team! Campers will learn all about teamwork and working together to complete a task. We will complete team-building exercises and learn important problem-solving techniques that will last a lifetime. Highlights will include a field trip to Happen, Inc. Toy lab and an in-house Children’s Escape Room Challenge.
July 6-10: Out of this World!
Do stars, supernovas, and black holes intrigue you? If so, this is the week for you! Campers will learn about the wide world of space. We will study astronomy, the vehicles used to explore space, and much more! Highlights will include field trips to Boonshoft Museum and Drake Planetairum.
July 13-17: Imagination Station
Have you ever wanted to build your own toy or Rube Goldberg machine? This week, campers will study a variety of features, causes, and purposes for such objects. Highlights will include field trips to Highland Discover Garden and the STEM Lab.
July 20-24: Lights, Camera, Action!
Do you have the acting bug? If so, join us for your moment in the spotlight. Campers will learn about numerous types of performing arts as well as the history and techniques used to create performances that captivate audiences. Highlights will include visitors from Play House in the Park and creating our very own performances at Sharon Woods Amphitheater!
July 27-31: Get Ready, Get Safe!
Do you dream of becoming a firefighter, police officer, or another type of first-responder? If so, this is the week for you! Campers will learn about the community helpers who work hard to keep us safe and will learn how to stay safe in various situations. Highlights will include a tour of a local Fire Station and a guest speaker.
Aug 3-7: What Happened in History
Are you a history buff? Campers will learn all about the natural history and historical figures of this area. Campers will enjoy exploring The Trammel Fossil Park to hunt for their own fossils and traveling back in time at Heritage Village Museum.
Aug 10-13: So Long, Summer!
All good things must come to an end. This week, campers will wrap up the summer by reflecting on all that was learned and experienced throughout the summer. We will conclude all of our projects and also enjoy a field trips to Pogo Play and a local park!
