    Director

Hello, My name is Amber Renee Walker. I am originally from Southern Illinois and have been living in Jacksonville since 2003. I have two beautiful children that have graduated from the Primrose School of Julington Creek!

I love educating children and watching them grow and learn new things. I have my National CDA, degree in Early Childhood Education and Directors Credential. I began my teaching career as a Kindergarten Assistant and I have also taught in the two's, three's and Pre-K. classrooms.

I began my journey with Primrose at the Julington Creek location in 2008 as the lead teacher in Pre-K2, promoted to Curriculum Coordinator in 2010 and promoted once again in 2017 to Director. The year 2019 marks my transition to the St. Johns Forest location as Director. I love my position and the fact that I get to work with such fantastic teachers! Even more than that, I have the pleasure of helping to mold our future!

Hello, my name is Shannon Metros! I have been with Primrose St. Johns Forest for 4 years now. I have my National CDA and my Director Credential. I come from a large family. I have 4 sisters and 1 brother. Being one of the oldest, child care came naturally to me from assisting my parents with my younger siblings. I look forward to working with and getting to know all the families and children at Primrose.

    Adrian Hatcher

    Education Coach

Hello. My name is Mrs. Adrian Hatcher and I am the Educational Coach at Primrose. I am from the Midwest and I do not miss the cold nor the snow. Once I graduated high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy. During my tour overseas I met my husband. We brought four lovely children into this world, two girls and then our 2 boys. Once our children was of age, I wanted to enter back into the workforce. So I looked for a quality childcare center. At the time, I

did not know what that actually looked like. But I knew I wanted to leave my children in the hands of someone that would care for them as much as I would. With that being said, no one met my expectations or approval. I then decided to learn how to become a Home Childcare Provider. I became a business owner teaching children while providing for our household as well. I have always had a passion for teaching and training children. Maintaining safety,

implementing lesson plans, and providing quality child care in my home was a must. Throughout my life I have taught children from infancy to school aged. I was hired as the Lead teacher in every childcare agency I have worked for. My Directors called on me to train the new employees and mentor the seasoned teachers leading by example and by showing how structured my classroom was no matter the age. I was then promoted to Assistant Director and I experienced being a Curriculum Specialist, a Cook, a Van Driver, and a “Nurse”. As your Educational Coach I am here to listen, assist you, continue learning, and have fun mentoring the program. Let’s continue to make Primrose a great school where children learn through play!

We are Ed and Marta Guevara we are so proud to be part of the American dream by

    owning two Primrose Schools.

Ed is from Venezuela and Marta is from Cuba. We came to this country many years ago

and started out in the restaurant industry, with lots of hard work and dedication we

became owners of Primrose School of Longwood in 2012. We then purchased Primrose

School of Julington Creek and St. Johns Forest in 2016 and currently own these 2

schools in the Jacksonville area. Primrose Schools is the leader in early education and

we believe it's like no other in the industry and that is why we wanted to be a part of it.

Primrose Schools not only has provided our family with a great income, but as an

owner we are also part of the future of the children in our community and that make us

very happy. In our free time we love to go camping as much as possible with our two

children who are now married and are starting new families of their own.
