Information Ground Breaking at Primrose School of St. Charles at Heritage

ST. PETERS, Mo. (Oct. 23, 2017) – St. Charles County families will soon have access to high-quality early education and child care when the new Primrose School of St. Charles at Heritage opens its doors. Franchise Owners Jamie and Vince Ovlia hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 9:00 a.m. alongside St. Peters Mayor Len Pagano and ARCO Construction Company team members.

“As longtime residents of St. Charles, we are thrilled to be able to offer the Primrose Experience® to the families in our local community,” said Jamie Ovlia, Franchise Owner of Primrose School of St. Charles at Heritage. “Since our daughter has gone to Primrose, we’ve noticed her grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We want to offer that same opportunity to the children in our local community.”

The new school, which is expected to open in the summer of 2018, will be the second Primrose school in the St. Louis area and the third in Missouri. This development is expected to bring $5 million in project costs and 30 new jobs to the local economy when operating at full capacity. Primrose School of St. Charles at Heritage is poised to serve more than 180 local children and their families. The 12,300-square-foot school will feature 11 private classrooms and more than 20,000 square feet of playground space. Additionally, the school will be equipped with an ICC-500 rated storm shelter. The school site has already gone through quite the transformation with nearly 20,000 yards of dirt removed to level the construction area.

Like the more than 350 Primrose schools across the country, Primrose School of St. Charles at Heritage will offer the Primrose-exclusive Balanced Learning® approach, which blends purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, confidence, creativity and compassion. The school will offer infant through pre-Kindergarten classes for children ages 6 weeks to 6-years-old and the Primrose Explorer program to serve children up to age 12 for before and after-school care.
