Information Congratulations Roelandts Family!

Greetings! We are the Roelandts family—Koen, Julie, and Vincent. Koen is originally from Belgium and spent his early childhood in France before his family moved to Silicon Valley in 1983. In 2008 he moved to St. Louis to pursue his PhD in Medieval History at St. Louis University.  Julie is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and relocated to St. Louis in 2008 to work for Philips Healthcare and now also teaches in the cardiac ultrasound program at St. Louis Community College. We took the saying “meet me in St. Louis” quite literally, as we met and fell in love soon after relocating here. This wonderful city and its warm, inviting people will always have a special place in our hearts.

In 2017 we were blessed with a very funny and talkative little boy. Vincent is full of life and energy, often bubbling over with a joke to tell or the next cool idea he just thought of. He loves using his imagination building Legos with Dad or pretending he is on a superhero adventure—his favorite being your friendly neighborhood Spiderman. He also loves to do arts and crafts with Mom.  Vincent loves the holidays and all the traditions that go with it, Halloween is his absolute favorite.  He loves sports, swimming, dancing and singing, and playing with our two cats, Remy and Amelie.

We greatly value the wonderful teachers at Primrose and the positive environment of inclusiveness we encountered here from day one.  We are grateful for the teachers and staff investing their time, talents and efforts into these young minds. Vincent has flourished since he joined PS2 and each afternoon drive home is filled with breathless details of what he has done that day. We are truly thankful to everyone at Primrose for creating such a wonderful place for kids to learn and for making us feel so welcome.
