Primrose School of South Riding

Mrs. De Silva is the School Director at Primrose School of South Riding  She is a dedicated, nurturing, and collaborative educator with over a decade of early childhood and administrative experience including twelve years as Head of School of a Montessori school prior to joining the Primrose family. Mrs. De Silva holds an Early Childhood Degree from the American Montessori Society, in addition to graduating with the academic distinction, cum laude with Bachelors of Science Degree in Marketing. Her passion in early childhood education began at a very young age where she was often volunteering in her mother’s preschool classroom. By witnessing first hand the profound impact she had on the children in her care instantly enlightened Mrs. De Silva to a philosophy of learning to nurture and inspire the little minds of our future.  Mrs. De Silva has a son who attends Primrose. When she is not at Primrose, she can be found spending time with her family enjoying green spaces, reading, traveling, exploring museums, and trying new recipes.  

Mrs. Lekas is very committed and well educated with the Primrose way. Mrs. Lekas is the Assistant Director and cares about the standards and care of each and every child here at the Primrose School of South Riding. Mrs. Lekas is working toward obtaining a degree in Applied Science Early Childhood Development. She has worked in the Early Childhood Education for more than 15 years.

As a mother of twin boys, Mrs. Lekas knows how important it is to have a warm and caring environment. She thinks its bests to encourage children to do their absolute best. That is why she has chosen Primrose as a school not only for her liking but the liking of others. "It is a safe environment, and you can feel the warm when walking into any Primrose School". The environment at the school is friendly and outgoing.
