Hello! I am Maria Emmanuelli. When my parents (José & Nydia) and I first heard about Primrose Schools, I was inspired. Primrose's early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion.
I’ve been Director of our school since it opened in April of 2005. I have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from UC Denver and I am licensed in Early Childhood Special Education. I have two children who are Primrose Schools graduates.
Providing a foundation for learning and life and, above all, a safe, loving and nurturing environment for your children is our priority! We are committed to making a difference the lives of our children, families, staff and community, ensuring that they receive the best our Primrose School has to offer.
I always tell everyone that Primrose is my second home, and I hope that we can make it your family's second home too. I look forward to welcoming you into our Primrose family!
Hi, my name is Natalie Jensen. I am from the Bay Area, but have been in Colorado since 1994.
I attended the University of Nevada-Reno, on a soccer scholarship. I have my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with an emphasis in Early Childhood. My minor is in Psychology. Prior to working for Primrose, I worked for an early intervention program for the state of Nevada aiding families with children with developmental disabilities.
I have been with Primrose since 2006 where I began my journey as a lead teacher in the Preschool II class and became Director in 2008. I also currently play the role of a Primrose parent, as my daughters Brailynn and Camdyn attend the school.
I feel so fortunate to be a part of each child’s development, and even more fortunate for the relationships that are built with the children and their families. I look forward to getting to know your family!
We began our search in finding quality child care when our daughter Maria announced we were going to be grandparents…and our lives have never been the same! When Maria realized that she needed quality care for her son and was not able to find anything that met her needs, we were living in Texas at the time and there we discovered Primrose Schools. The moment Nydia walked into that Primrose School, she realized that this was exactly what she wanted for our grandchildren. We moved back to Denver and in April of 2005, we opened the Primrose School at Shadow Canyon. We are proud that both of our grandchildren are Primrose graduates, and we were here to watch them grow every day!
We believe who children become is as important as what they know. We are committed to the Primrose Schools balanced approach of purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers. We strive to offer social, emotional, physical, and intellectual early childhood development that will instill in each child a positive self-esteem and a love of learning. Not only are Primrose Schools academically accredited, like leading elementary and secondary schools are, but the focus that Primrose puts on character development and values is evident as well. Our students are well prepared for elementary school and beyond.
We warmly welcome you and your children to Primrose School at Shadow Canyon.
