Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Schedule A TourWe began our search in finding quality child care when our daughter Maria announced we were going to be grandparents…and our lives have never been the same! When Maria realized that she needed quality care for her son and was not able to find anything that met her needs, we were living in Texas at the time and there we discovered Primrose Schools. The moment Nydia walked into that Primrose School, she realized that this was exactly what she wanted for our grandchildren. We moved back to Denver and in April of 2005, we opened the Primrose School at Shadow Canyon. We are proud that both of our grandchildren are Primrose graduates, and we were here to watch them grow every day!
We believe who children become is as important as what they know. We are committed to the Primrose Schools balanced approach of purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers. We strive to offer social, emotional, physical, and intellectual early childhood development that will instill in each child a positive self-esteem and a love of learning. Not only are Primrose Schools academically accredited, like leading elementary and secondary schools are, but the focus that Primrose puts on character development and values is evident as well. Our students are well prepared for elementary school and beyond.
We warmly welcome you and your children to Primrose School at Shadow Canyon.
José & Nydia Emmanuelli
We are conveniently located on Siskin Ave, right down the road from Cougar Run Elementary School and five minutes from Sand Creek Elementary School. Unlike an ordinary daycare in Highlands Ranch, we provide your child with a robust early education and child care experience.
Infant, Toddler, Early Preschool, Preschool Pathways, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Summer Adventure Club
At Primrose, your child will get more than an infant daycare experience. Our teachers help your child develop and grow, building one skill upon another, which is why we are the leader in infant child care.
Our school has earned a Level 4 rating by Colorado Shines, the state’s quality rating and improvement system for early care and learning programs.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Our school has earned its national continuous accreditation under the Cognia Standards for Quality Early Learning Schools.
Our new exclusive Harmony & Heart® program integrates our proprietary music and books in a variety of thoughtful ways each day. Through learning about music, while simultaneously being exposed to concepts in math, language, and character development, your child will grow as a musician, a student, and a person.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
We are looking for energetic, experienced teachers to support our growing school. If you believe in teamwork, approaching each day with joy, and making a difference in the lives of children, then we would like to speak with you.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
At Primrose Schools® Summer Adventure Club, learning meets fun through hands-on activities—like sports, robotics, and more—that encourage creativity, compassion and resourcefulness.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
While there have been many challenges and are more still to come, we are impressed by, and grateful for, your incredible efforts, your creativity and your resourcefulness. Our days may look different know, but the commitment and care that you all provide our students and families does not go unnoticed.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
Primrose School at Shadow Canyon requires all enrolled children to be current with vaccinations per AAP guidelines. To protect the health and well-being of the children in our care, we do not offer admission to children who are not current with their immunizations - even if parents have filed an exemption with the state of Colorado on their behalf.
We want to build a strong foundation for future learning. We do that by exploring different STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) skills and concepts. An important part of our approach at Primrose is introducing children to the right activities at the right times. We introduce children to new skills and concepts when they are developmentally ready, making learning fun and natural.
During inclement weather, we will make every reasonable effort to open the school, however, the safety of our families, students and staff will be our prime consideration for closing the school.
We have been part of the Primrose Shadow Canyon family for a long time. Our oldest daughter started with Primrose during the summers with Ms. Ashley while in elementary school at Cougar Run. Often, when picking her up, her greeting to us would be, “But I don’t want to go yet!” Our adoration for Ms. Ashley was obviously well placed in a facility which was both safe and encouraged similar values to our own. We have learned just how valuable these lessons are as she has started to grow into a remarkable young woman. We know and see how Primrose has helped her grow.
Primrose School at Shadow Canyon has been selected for the 2019 Best of Highlands Ranch Award in the Preschools category.
Keeping children safe in the parking lot requires the cooperation of everyone – from school staff to parents to the children themselves.
