Primrose School of Royersford

The health and safety of our staff and the children entrusted to our care is our top priority. We are proud to maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Health & Safety Practices in Place

  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 72 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys - Separating toys between AM and PM to allow time for disinfectant to properly set
  • Frequent hand washing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols along with extra hand sanitizer throughout the building and classrooms
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind - updated Health and Safety training for all staff yearly
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly - blankets stored separately and cots stored to not allow touching of sheets
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
  • All teachers wearing masks and having to answer the recommended CDC health questionnaire daily along with twice per day temperature checks
  • Requiring all families to complete the recommended CDC health questionnaire daily along with their child's temperature check twice per day as well as a drop off QR code
  • Masks required of all Parents during drop off and pick up
  • Masks strongly encouraged of any child age 2 and up, permission slips required
  • Curbside pick up of your child/children at the end of the day
  • Group gatherings and normal extra activities postponed or cancelled until state allows larger gatherings
  • No tours during normal operating hours, all tours completed when children have safely gone home for the day to limit contact
