Like many families with Medical careers, Mayo Clinic was Hussam’s choice for fellowship training after residency and practice as a consultant in the Division of Hospital Internal Medicine. Nesreen moved to Rochester after completing the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the University of Minnesota. She’s currently working as a pharmacist with Hy-vee.
Both Hussam and Nesreen grew up in Damascus, Syria. They contribute to the diversity of Rochester by sharing Middle Eastern culture and traditions. They hope to revisit Syria one day with their kids when it becomes safe and stable again.
The Jenads have been part of the Primrose family since 2014 and enjoy the friendly and educational environment it offers. They are blessed to be parents to five wonderful children. Mayyar attended Primrose for 4 years before graduating to kindergarten this year. Melda and Maesum are currently in the Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms, and Mateen and Makeen are their newest additions born July 2018.
As a family, they enjoy traveling, grilling kabobs, making Arabic ice cream, and many outdoor activities such as horseback riding, and meeting new friends.
