New Primrose School of Plainfield to Welcome Families During Grand Opening
Ribbon cutting ceremony with Plainfield Mayor to kick-off celebratory event
CHICAGO (June 6, 2018) – Two new business owners are making a big impact on the local economy. By opening Primrose School of Plainfield, local Franchise Owners Harleen Kaur and Ravipal Arora are providing the community 30 new jobs and more than $5 million in project costs. With their new school, the Aroras are poised to nurture and shape the lives of Chicago-area children for years to come.
Primrose School of Plainfield, which officially opened to students on May 21, will host local families for a grand opening celebration Saturday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The grand opening will feature family-friendly activities, including a scavenger hunt, face painting, a variety of classroom activities and visits from Primrose Friend Percy® the Rooster, Princess Elsa and Marshall the Fire Dog. Refreshments along with samples from the Primrose Balanced Menu will be served, and a raffle will be held during the event for a children’s giveaway. The approximately 12,100-square-foot school will also be open for parents and children to tour. A ribbon cutting ceremony with Plainfield Mayor Michael Collins will be held at 10 a.m. to celebrate the opening of the school.

Primrose School of Plainfield features 11 classrooms and 24,000 square feet of play area, including four secure, age-appropriate playgrounds. The school also features a Primrose Patch garden for outdoor and nature study activities. Through school programs for children 6 weeks to 5 years old, the school can serve more than 180 local children and their families at full capacity. To help better serve families in the community, Primrose School of Plainfield will offer private Kindergarten. For children ages 5 up to 12, the Primrose Explorer Program will be offered for before- and after-school care. The Primrose Adventure Club is also offered at this location for summer learning activities for children up to age 12.
Balanced Learning® Approach
The school offers the Primrose-exclusive Balanced Learning approach, which blends purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion in children 6 weeks to 6 years old. Additionally, the new school utilizes the Primrose Schools Safe School Plan, a comprehensive guide outlining safety measures so all staff members are prepared to manage potential emergency situations.
