    Center Director

Hello my name is Sarah Brockey. I am an Arizona native and so is my husband and our two amazing girls. My education background is a mixture of both early childhood education and healthcare. It has always been a passion of mine to take care of people. My work experience has always been centered around children. I started out babysitting, worked at an elementary school and now here at Primrose. I started as a Primrose teacher in 2011 starting in early preschool, then becoming the lead toddler teacher shortly after where I have been ever since. I took some time off when I had my second daughter and could not wait to come back. In my spare time I am usually spending time with my family, going to the movies, and doing arts and crafts which I enjoy doing in the classroom as well. I love being a Primrose teacher and being able to bring my daughter here as well. I get to watch her grow and learn with all of the great teachers and friends in such an amazing environment!

My name is Susan Claytor and I’m originally from Seattle, WA. I’m married with one dog and two love birds. Not only did I spend many enjoyable years as a nanny, I have been cooking professionally for the last 30 years. I have been the Chef at The Primrose School at Palm Valley since 2012 and have enjoyed my time here ever since! In my spare time I enjoy traveling, watching movies, spending time with my husband, reading & of course cooking. My favorite part of the day is when I serve lunch to the classrooms and hear the kids clap & chant my name because they are so excited for lunch. This brings a smile to my face every time! I love being a part of the Primrose family and I love seeing all the little smiling faces every day. I look forward to many more years here.

Hello everyone. My name is Kim Staats. I was born in the state of Illinois, where the weather is much different than here in Arizona. I have 3 sons and 4 grandchildren. Franchise Owners

Karen and Mike Verlardi are the very proud owners of the Primrose School at Palm Valley which opened in Goodyear, Arizona in August of 2008. Their 3 children (Nichole, Michael and Danielle) are the primary reason that Karen and Mike decided to open a Primrose. Their endeavor began when searching for quality childcare for their first child - this is where they realized that their high standards would make it difficult to be satisfied with the typical daycare establishment. Their desire to find the best care for their own children quickly developed into a passion to provide an educational and nurturing environment for children of the community as well as peace of mind for parents just like themselves. After they found Primrose, they knew it was a perfect partnership. Their philosophies about the importance of family balance and child security and happiness were a complete match and Primrose had the reputation and experience to help the Verlardis deliver this to the local community. "We are thrilled for the opportunity to bring an exceptional private preschool to Goodyear and the surrounding communities, and look forward to developing relationships with children and their parents who desire first-rate educational child care." Originally from New Jersey, Mike and Karen Verlardi have been residents of the valley since 1998. After graduating from Montclair State University and marrying - they decided to move to the west coast to further their consulting and sales careers. Karen holds an MBA from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, is a member of the American Business Women's Association, and has held corporate positions in systems and product development for more than 14 years. Karen is also President of Arizona in Action, a non-profit organization which was founded in Goodyear and is geared toward the prevention of childhood obesity.
