Franchise Owner
Magda and Bob Wyko
Welcome to Primrose School of North Olathe! We are proud to bring high-quality preschool and child care to young children and families in the Johnson County community. Our connection to Primrose began as parents. Both of our children, Henrik and Helena, attended Primrose, and we saw firsthand how a nurturing, exceptional school can shape a child’s confidence, curiosity and development. That experience inspired us to bring the Primrose approach to more families in our community and ensure other children feel the same sense of encouragement and belonging our own children did.
Before becoming Franchise Owners, Magda spent more than 20 years in talent development and organizational strategy, creating people-first cultures where teams felt valued and supported. Bob brings a strong background in business operations and risk management and currently serves as Managing Counsel at National General, an Allstate Company. Together, our strengths allow us to build a school where teachers are empowered, systems are strong and families feel confident in the care their children receive.
At Primrose, we believe who children become is as important as what they know. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We are excited to meet you and your family!
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?
Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?
Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.
How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?
All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am-6:00 pm.
How do you keep parents informed about their child's day?
Connecting school to home is one of the ways we help children thrive. We use the Procare app to share daily updates and photos so you stay connected to your child’s joy, learning and special moments
What makes Primrose different from other childcare centers?
Primrose combines nurturing care with the Balanced Learning® approach, helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically in a safe and engaging environment. Our goal is to help every child build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
How do I enroll my child?
The best first step is to schedule a tour. During your visit, you’ll meet our team, explore our classrooms, learn about our programs, and discuss availability and enrollment options for your child.
How do you keep children safe?
Safety is our highest priority. We maintain secure building access, visitor protocols, age-appropriate supervision, staff training, and established health and safety procedures to help ensure every child is cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
Question for the Franchise Owner, Magda. Why did you choose to own a Primrose School?
As parents of two children who attended Primrose, we experienced firsthand the positive impact a nurturing and engaging learning environment can have on a child’s development. We became owners because we are passionate about bringing that same exceptional experience to families in the North Olathe community.
