Primrose School of North Edison

The health and safety of our staff and the children entrusted to our care is our top priority. We are proud to maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Health & Safety Practices in Place

  • Health Screenings conducted for all staff and students upon arrival; no one with fever or any other signs of illness will be permitted into the school
  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Ensuring low teacher-student classroom ratios
  • No more than 10 children per classroom with the same group of children and staff each day
  • Groups shall congregate not less than 10 feet in all directions from other groups or be separated by walls or other physical partitions
  • All maintenance and repair services, prospective parents, entertainers/speakers, or service providers shall be required to visit the facility after operating hours
  • The new REME HALO in-duct air purifier installed. It is the highest level of indoor air quality technology and capable of purifying every cubic inch of air that the central air conditioning system reaches, as well as disinfecting surfaces. Designed specifically to eliminate sick building syndrome risks by reducing viruses, bacteria, mold, and other air pollutants. When the HVAC system is in operation the REME HALO creates an Oxidation Plasma consisting of Ionized hydro-peroxides, Superoxide ions and Hydroxide ions.
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing toys, and high-touch points
  • Outdoor and indoor equipment professionally sanitized weekly
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
