Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Schedule A TourThe military recently brought us to Colorado Springs and like many other families who are new to the area, we immediately began looking to find childcare for our two-year-old son. We soon discovered that the wait lists were long, and the quality of providers varied greatly. While searching for a childcare center a rather serendipitous opportunity presented itself.
We were not actively seeking to become Primrose owners; however, if we had we would not have been able to find a better fit. It was serendipitous not only due to the timing, but also due to the unique background Matt and I have. Matt is an active-duty Army officer with varied experiences in both military leadership and business, and as for Abigail, she has her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and experience in classrooms ranging from toddlers to elementary school age in both the public and private school setting. In addition to our professional careers, together we have created and grown several successful real estate related businesses, and are excited to now devote all of our experiences and energy towards providing your child, as well as our own, the best child care in Colorado Springs.
Who children become is as important as what they know is a belief that is at the core of our Balanced Learning® approach. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing early learning experience for children and their families.
We are excited to meet you and your family!
We aren’t just a daycare in Colorado Springs – we are a premier early education and child care experience for children and families. We are conveniently located just minutes down the road from Mountain View Elementary School on Briar Ridge Pt.
At Primrose, your child will get more than an infant daycare experience. Our teachers help your child develop and grow, building one skill upon another, which is why we are the leader in infant child care.
Congratulations to Ms. Howar We wanted to express our sincere gratitude for all that you have done. Your hard work, dedication, and passion for teaching have truly made a difference. Your kindness and patience have helped the children grow as students and as wonderful, kind people. Thank you for being an amazing teacher and for always going above and beyond to help your students succeed. We feel so lucky to have had you as one of our teachers here at Primrose.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Congratulations to the Air Force Academy Class of 2023! Our Pathways students enjoyed eating their lunch outside and cheering on the graduates while our Preschool and summer camp students cheered them on from the fence. Watching the Thunderbirds fly over was the cherry on top!

Our summer camp students had fun building their own stuffed animals this week!
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
This week our infants have been discussing healthy foods. Ms. Hailey and Finley looked at her picture on the table and noticed healthy food options we eat for lunch. Finley was able to use her fingers to paint her plate full of food!
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.

The Pre-Kindergarten students read the book Shapes, Shapes, Shapes by Tana Hoban. Afterwards the students practiced their fine motor skills by drawing the shapes themselves.
Our Young Toddler classroom explored spatial relationships through movement explorations. The child rolled the truck in the paint while describing how the truck was moving back and forth or up and down. She also watched the red paint mix with the blue paint
When children stack blocks, they develop and refine fine motor skills. Finley worked on developing her grasp while using her whole hand.

Balancing teaches us to bear our weight on a smaller location, on one foot, and other ways . We practiced walking across the beam, some need arms to balance, others need to walk sideways, together it builds our balancing skills.
This week we have been reading about caterpillars turning into butterflies, which happens in the spring. Today our caterpillar's arrived to school and we had a blast looking closing at them. Stay tuned while we patiently wait for them to enter into the chrysalis stage.
