Students at Primrose School of NE Flower Mound spend a few weeks of the Summer learning about citizenship and emergency preparedness. Families showed gratitude by donating over 50 packs of water and sports drinks to Flower Mound Fire Station #1. When the truck arrived to pick-up the donation, they were greeted by Primrose staff and students at the fence of their playgrounds. Students cheered, waved, and held posters they had created in class.
7 local Primrose Schools joined forces to donate over 2000 books to local non-profit, Book Drive for Kids. Book Drive for Kids is a 501(c)3 organization on a mission to help create a culture of literacy by providing books to disadvantaged children for independent reading. Families from the 7 Primrose Schools donated over 2000 books to their Primrose campuses. The annual book donation drive is part of Og’s Bountiful Books, a Primrose Schools® reading program designed to encourage parents and students to read together at home and share favorite stories with classmates and children who do not have easy access to books. The reading program is part of Primrose Schools’ curriculum, which balances academics, play and character development in the classroom.
“When it comes to early learning, Primrose shares the same goal as parents – we aim to maximize a child’s learning during a very important time in his life. We believe, and our outcomes show, that the most effective way to help each child reach her full potential is to ensure she is exposed to information in different ways using a balance of proven learning theories.”
Our students, families, teachers and staff donated more that 80 pairs of shoes to people in need.
