  • Omarys Casado, School Director

    Omarys Casado

    School Director

Hi! My name is Omarys Casado, and I am excited to introduce myself as the Director of Education at Primrose School of Morristown.

I am a proud Kean University graduate. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology and specializations in Speech-Language Pathology and English Writing. I have close to forty credits in children’s development, ranging from courses like infant and toddler development to early speech and language development to special education for multicultural learners in diverse settings. My coursework was geared towards the development of children.

Throughout my undergrad, I was able to intern at various schools and hospitals for experience with children. During my sophomore year, I interned at Stepping Stones, a school for children with Down syndrome. I observed different age groups and helped with activities, therapies, and lessons. During my senior year in college, I interned at Children’s Specialized Hospital, where I assisted occupational, physical, and speech-language therapists. I learned how to conduct different assessments that examined the development of children. It is important to me to learn different ways and methods to help serve children and parents from different walks of life.

In my previous director role, I managed programs for children six weeks to 13 years of age! Through research and training, I was able to create my own curriculum. I advocate for research-based education and instruction, and I believe Primrose offers a well-balanced and research-based curriculum.

  • Swati Thakkar, District Assistant Teacher

    Swati Thakkar

    District Assistant Teacher

My name is Swati Thakkar. I am an experienced CPA Certified Preschool Teacher.

Before I came to the USA, I was working as a Corporate Lawyer in India. After becoming a mother of two lovely children, I could learn so many beautiful things where I can see through the little minds. And since they started going to preschool, I realized the role of a teacher in a child’s life is right after the parents. Especially, in Early Childhood, if you can give a child the most comfortable feeling where they feel loved, cared and secure, the transition becomes smooth. So I decided to work with the little explorers.

My goal as a Preschool Teacher is to make a child feel as special as they feel when they are with their family. Teaching them through play, child-directed activities, and at the same time, motivating them to do what they are very much capable of.

I have received training & experience through Creative Curriculum, High Scope Curriculum, Reggio Emilia based curriculum & Montessori Method of Teaching where daily activities play a vital role in the child’s basic learning skills. I strongly believe in the thought, “We must not assess what the child knows or knows how to do but what he or she could do IF…. We are the IF”
