When life gives you lemons, make lemonade to help those in need! Students at our school perfected their juicing skills and hosted their own lemonade stand fundraiser. The event was part of the Richmond-area Anthem LemonAid, a fundraising initiative to support local children with cancer.
Students dressed up in yellow clothes to hand-squeeze juice, pour cold lemonade for customers, and collect donations during pick-up hours. Collectively, they raised more than $500 for patients at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University!
Just by organizing and marketing their lemonade stand, students practiced responsibility, kindness and giving without expecting — key character traits we nurture as part of our Balanced Learning® approach.
