Contact UsI am a Colorado native and grew up in a small town out east raising horses, sheep and chickens. My family and I currently live in Parker. My two children, Claire and Jack, attended Primrose since infancy. I firmly believe their time spent at Primrose developed their strong education background and love for school!
I received my Bachelors Degree in Human Development and Early Childhood Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I have been in the Early Childhood field for over 18 years and I have been the Director at the Primrose School at Lowry since we opened. I look forward to watching our students grow and learn each day and building relationships with our families.
My name is Yasamin Morshed and I am the Office Manager here at the Primrose School at Lowry. I moved to Denver, Colorado in 2008 with my family and started working for Primrose Schools. I have my Bachelor in Translation, my Child Development Associate and my Center Director Qualification. I have 20 years of experience working in early childhood education field in different capacities, mostly in a management role. I am married and have 2 beautiful children, My daughter is 24 and just graduated from CU Denver and my son is 16 years old. I am extremely excited to be a part of Primrose School at Lowry family and look forward to make wonderful memories with all the children and their families.
Hello, my name is Edith Martinez and I am originally from California. I moved to Colorado as a teenager, and absolutely love all this beautiful state has to offer. I started my Early Childhood career in 2009, and joined the Primrose Family in 2012. On the weekends I love spending time with my husband and daughter. We enjoy going to the movies, exploring the outdoors, and traveling.I am most excited on building relationships with all of our families.
Hello, my name is Kaylee Kettner! I am originally from Northern Wisconsin. I went to Northern Michigan University for one year before moving here. In my free time I enjoy hiking, concerts and spending time with family and friends. I’m looking forward to meeting new families and helping their children learn and grow.
Hello, my name is Ytzel Carrillo and I am originally from Mexico City, Mexico. I have about 4 years of child care experience. My favorite activity is to spend time with my 2 daughters. I am most excited to get to know all the students in our Primrose school and to provide a great environment for all!
Hello, my name is Xochitl and I was born and raised here in Denver, Colorado. I have been a Toddler Teacher here at Primrose for many years and I hold my Early Childhood Teacher Certification. I love working with the toddlers, they learn and grow so much each day!
Hello, my name is Jasmine! I have previously worked at the Primrose School at Lowry and am very happy to be back. I have several years of experience working with Toddlers and it is my favorite age group to work with. On the weekends I enjoy being outside! My favorite activity is hiking with my boyfriend and our Husky, Desna. I’m really excited to work with children again and love watching them learn something new everyday!
Hello, my name is Abby Burgess and I am a native of Denver, Colorado. I've worked with young children (mostly toddler age) since 2005 in various centers. I have my Associate's in Early Childhood Education from Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs. One of my favorite things to do is sing along with children's music, or anything that I hear on the radio. I am most excited to get to know all the students.
Hello my name is Angelica, and I want to tell you a little about myself. I am Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico but was raised here in Colorado. My experience with children comes from babysitting. On the weekends I like to spend time with my family and boyfriend. I am most definitely excited to learn more about each student, and provide them with as much guidance as possible.
Hi! My name is Tiffany! I love to go for walks and fix up my house. I also enjoy cooking and barbequing with my friends and family. I come from a large family, so I am very family-oriented. I love spending time with my husband. We don’t have any kids yet, but we are looking forward to having some of our own in the future. I was born and raised on a farm and grew up in a small town called Elizabeth, CO. I moved to Aurora about three years ago when I bought my house.
Hello, my name is Alexis and I want to tell you a little about myself. My experience working with children began in my grandma's home day care where I helped her. While being in high school I worked as a Teachers Aid at a child's learning center. When I was in college to be a Physicians Assistant in Alabama, I nanny for a few years. After moving back to Colorado, I began working as a preschool teacher. I am now looking forward getting to know all the kids and parents!
Hello! I’m Kat Brown and I have lived in Aurora, Colorado almost my whole life. I only left temporarily to attend the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. While there, I joined the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority Inc. I graduated with my elementary education degree and my teaching license. I have previous experience in both 3rd grade classrooms and at another Primrose! On the weekends my husband, stepson, and I enjoy hiking in the mountains or catching a game of college football!
Hello, my name is Zayra Rivera Mendez and I am originally form Oaxaca, Mexico but was raised in Colorado from a very young age. I joined Primrose and started my career in childcare in 2018. I am Group Lead Teacher certified and I also recently obtained by Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology with a minor in Spanish. I am so excited and looking forward to making strong connections with all the students, parents, and fellow teachers at Primrose.
Hi! I'm Emily Johnson and I hail from Cody, Wyoming. I have worked with children since 2010 and love every minute of it! My favorite part about working with children is when they learn something new and they light up wanting to learn more. I enjoy the outdoors and even spent time as a children's ski instructor. Something you may not know about me is was a ski joring champion in my youth.

Chris Lang and Shannan Meyer are the owners of the Primrose School at Lowry, working together since 2008. Both Shannan and Chris are Colorado natives with many years of dedication to the early childhood field. They pride themselves on ensuring that our school offers the best early care and education to the children and families we serve.
As a team Chris and Shannan work hard to ensure that our school provides the best educational childcare, preschool and kindergarten in the Denver community. Both Chris and Shannan’s children are Primrose graduates so they know firsthand the importance parents place on the safety and education of their children.
