Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Schedule A TourHi there! I have worked for Shawn and Linda for 6 years serving as a Director at both Primrose School of Castle Rock and Primrose School of Lone Tree. I have been in the Early Childhood Field for 15 years and have loved every minute of it. Before becoming a Director, I was a Preschool Teacher. Once I became Director Qualified, I found that my real passion was being in a leadership role. My husband, Trevor, and I grew up in rural Northeast Colorado where farming and ranching played a big part of their lives. In my spare time I enjoy doing anything that deals with agriculture, planting flowers, gardening, and spending time with my family. I am now consulting for Primrose School of Lone Tree and Primrose School of Castle Rock.
Hi there! I have worked for Shawn and Linda for 4 years as an Assistant teacher, Lead teacher, and now the Director of Primrose School of Lone Tree. I found my passion for Early Childhood when I started as a teacher and took the opportunity to get Director qualified. I was born and raised in Highlands Ranch, CO and went to school in Wyoming. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, watching sports, attending concerts (huge Dead Head fan), spending time with family and friends, and checking out local restaurants and breweries.
Linda and Shawn are Primrose Franchising Company Presidential Award winners, an award given to a select few of franchisees for excellence in the care and education provided to their students.
Both are originally from North Dakota. Linda grew up in a rural farming community near the Canadian border. She attended Bismarck Junior College where she met Shawn; they have been married for 37 years. Upon graduating Linda went to work for a local family-owned meat processing company as an account’s manager.
Shawn grew up in a family of educators and followed their footsteps. As well as graduating from Bismarck Junior College he went on and completed his Bachelor’s Degree from Moorhead State University. After eight years of teaching and administrative roles he continued his educational journey earning two Masters Degrees. He completed his Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership studies from The Ohio State University in 1997.
They moved their family to Denver where Shawn served as High School Principal at Denver South High School, one of 10 inner city High Schools. Shawn was selected as Colorado Principal of the Year in 2001. He was the first Principal of the Year to be awarded from Denver Public Schools.
The Batterberry’s have three grown children, who all attended Primrose when they were toddlers, pre-kindergarteners and Before and After school kids.
Linda and Shawn continue to approach each day with joy as they care for and educate the kids that have been entrusted. The Batterberry’s always look forward to welcoming new kids and parents into their Primrose family.
