Children feel a sense of belonging when they relate to characters in books. Here are some of the books we read in our classrooms that introduce children to different backgrounds.
As we begin the year, we foster a sense of belonging by using scientific observation to examine the similarities and differences we share in eye, skin and hair color.
We begin the year with lessons that foster a sense of belonging and help children to recognize, respect and celebrate how we are all alike and different.
Meet our August Family of the Month, the Graham's: We're the Grahams! Adam, Katie, and Jonah - Adam is a Lincoln native and a senior analyst for Fiserv. Katie is originally from Florida and serves as the state director for career and technical education at the Nebraska Department of Education. Jonah is turning six this year and starting kindergarten - he's very excited! Along with trying to make all of his friends and teachers laugh, Jonah loves his taekwondo classes and upcoming soccer practices. Together we love traveling to visit family, music of all kinds, most superhero things, baking, and spoiling our new little pup Millie. We've loved becoming part of the Primrose family! One thing we knew for sure when enrolling Jonah was that he'd be academically, socially, and emotionally ready for his transition into kindergarten. And after the kindergarten jump start week, we know he is! He's looking forward to still seeing his friends and teachers next year as an Explorer, but most looking forward to riding the Primrose bus each day. We're so grateful for the incredible faculty and staff who go out of their way to make all of the Grahams feel a part of something really special.
The benefits of music for young children are undeniable. That’s why we created the Harmony & Heart® program, a unique approach designed to help children grow as students, musicians and people. Keep the fun and learning going at home — the first of four original music collections is available now.
Primrose School of Lincoln at Wilderness Hills is now approved for ChildCare Aware of America. We are proud to serve our military families by offering this benefit. Call our school today to schedule a tour!
90% of a child’s brain develops in the first five years.
Our new exclusive Harmony & Heart® program integrates our proprietary music and books in a variety of thoughtful ways each day. Through learning about music, while simultaneously being exposed to concepts in math, language, and character development, your child will grow as a musician, a student, and a person.
Our Primrose 360Connect™ email delivers daily peace of mind and engagement in your child’s learning experience. As a Primrose parent, you’ll receive an update on your child’s activities, naps, meals and milestones. We also include photos so you can see what a great day your child is having.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
