    Hello! I am Shawnee Adams, Program Director at Primrose School of Lee’s Summit! I am originally from the small town of Green Castle, Missouri, but now live in Overland Park, Kansas with my husband, Michael, and our two sweet pups, Andy and Sadie!

    I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Educational Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Central Methodist University. With a total of four years in the field, I have held positions as a paraprofessional in the public school setting, as a Registered Behavior Technician in the clinical setting, and where you may have seen me before, as a lead Pre-K and Preschool teacher here at Primrose School of Lee’s Summit!

    I am so excited to be back and to promote the many great qualities of early childhood education that the Primrose Schools’ encompass!

    Ms. Seibold has previously worked as the Human Resources Director for an auto group in St. Louis, Missouri. She and her family recently relocated to Lee’s Summit. Ms. Seibold knew that Primrose was the right choice when she wanted to switch gears in her career while focusing on her children. She and her husband have twins that are enrolled in the Preschool Pathways classroom.She enjoys the administrative aspect of the position while being part of a team that's doing something positive. “It is definitely a benefit, working somewhere you love while being close to your kiddos.” During her free time, Ms. Seibold enjoys time with her family, good food, hiking, and podcasts.

    Ms. Homan has worked as a nanny and in childcare for the last 5 years. She is currently working towards her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. She believes that all children are unique and need a stimulating educational environment where they can blossom and grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. In her free time she loves to go shopping and hang out with her husband and baby boy! She is excited to be a part of the Primrose family and can’t wait to watch her students flourish!

    Curriculum Director

    With several years of experience in childcare and one year of teaching childhood education under her belt, Ms. Rummel is excited to be teaching at the Primrose School of Lee’s Summit. “Primrose has given me the opportunity to help nurture and encourage learning, creativity, and exploration amongst our younger learners,” she says. Ms. Rummel is a proponent of watching children use what they have learned in the classroom and gain understanding in what tools can be used to experience self-expression though exploration, discovery, and creative play. Ms. Rummel is in the process of finishing her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Governors University. In her downtime, she likes to spend time with her friends and family hiking and camping alongside her and dog Mimi. She also loves to take family adventures in their VW Bug or ’65 Ford Fairlane during the weekends. “I also enjoy tutoring for youth in need when I can,” says Ms. Rummel, whose daughter, Lucille, attends school at the Primrose School of Lee’s Summit.

    Lead Infant Teacher Ms. DeMayo welcomes you to her Infant 1 classroom! With over a decade of childcare experience—first as a babysitter and then nanny—Kaylee is excited to join the Primrose School of Lee's Summit as a Lead Infant Teacher. "While my bachelor’s degree is in accounting and entrepreneurship, my heart keeps bringing me back to work with kids," she says.

    In 2018, she worked as a Christian missionary in Romania. Her favorite part of the mission? Being the primary caregiver to three abandoned babies under the age of two. "Growing up as the oldest of a large family, I have seen the blessing of children first-hand," she says. "Children thrive when they are treasured and it is my joy to work with parents as they seek to teach, grow, and love their little ones!"

    Lead Infant Teacher

    My name is Sabrina Martin. I was born and raised in Trier, Germany, where I attended school for early childhood development in 2001. I have spent the last 17 years moving around the world, supporting my husband, who was in the military. Along the way, I have worked for the Air Force Child Development Centers, different german preschools and after school care program. With having three daughters of my own, I know how important it is to give children a home away from home, where they can thrive in a loving, nurturing environment. I’m happy to be a teacher here at Primrose school and be part of your child’s life to help them grow. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and our two dogs.

    The primrose character I most relate to is Erwin the dog, he teaches the children the value of friendship, he knows that strong bonds are built on mutual interest and respect.

    I’m McKenzie. I am from Raymore, MO. I have 7 years of child care experience beginning with babysitting. I attended Metropolitan Community College. My favorite food is chinese and I love hanging out with my friends when I am not teaching. My favorite Primrose character is Erwin! I am excited to watch the kids grow and start developing their own personalities this school year!

    I’m Rebekah! I am from Kansas City, MO. I have worked at primrose since January of 2021. I have a high School diploma and am currently pursuing a degree in social work. My favorite food is barbecue! My favorite weekend activity is roller skating! My favorite children’s book is “Lunch At Aunt Augusta”. The primrose character I most relate to is Erwin. I am excited to watch my students light up when they put practice into a new concept we have been learning and working on in class!

    I’m Makayla! I am from Kansas City, MO. I started at Primrose in September of 2021. I am in the military and going to college for both Anthropology and psychology. On the weekends I love to go roller skating. I am excited to see our kids grow throughout the school year!

    Ms. Lloyd has been working in childcare for the past two years after graduating from high school. Originally from Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Kaitlyn says her small town helped her “learn how important a healthy community can be to a family.” In her free time, she loves to go boating with her friends and family on the lake. Her favorite pastime is reading. She loves to read kids her favorite children's novel, Thelma the Unicorn. “It is a wonderful story that helps children learn that it is okay to be themselves,” she says. “I’m very excited to watch my students learn, explore, and grow into amazing people!”

    I’m K-Lynn! I was born and raised in Sedalia, MO where I attended State Fair Community college and received my associates in Early Childhood Education. I have a total of 10 years experience in the field. My favorite thing to do in my free time is doing art with my 5 year old daughter! I believe that children learn best through creative expression and play!

    I’m Ms. Brooklyn. I wanted to tell you a little about myself.

    I have one year of childcare under my belt from my time here at Primrose School of Lee's Summit and will soon be pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Development. When I am not teaching and loving my sweet students, I enjoy eating my favorite food, tacos, and going to the movies with my fiancé. My favorite children’s book and a childhood favorite is “Goldilocks and The Three Bears”. I am so excited to watch my students grow and become more confident, independent, and caring this year!

    I’m Miss Chasity. I grew up in Holden, MO. I have worked in Child Care as a teacher and director for 10 years. Before joining Primrose, I worked with children with behaviors at a local school district. My favorite food is chicken and broccoli with Alfredo sauce and anything with chocolate. During my spare time I indulge in sewing, reading and going for walks. My favorite children's book is Peanut Butter and Cupcake by Terry Border. My favorite Primrose friend is Erwin the dog because he teaches the value of friendship. I am excited about making an impact on children's lives and seeing their excitement when they understand concepts.

    My name is Jordan Martin. I grew up in a little town named Harrisonville, Missouri about 30 miles south of here. I have about 7 years of childcare experience. I have worked in childcare, in the public school systems with behaviors and have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. My favorite food is Mexican food for sure! I could eat it everyday. So good! On the weekends I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love new adventures and I love warm weather.

    My favorite children’s book has to be “Brown Bear Brown Bear” because my child has been able to recite that book since he was only two. I am really looking forward to watching my kids in my class grow and blossom throughout the school year. I am excited to continue to get to know each and every one of them and what makes them smile etc.

    Hi, my name is Macelyn Kirk, and I’m so excited to be in my second year teaching Pre-Kindergarten at the Primrose School of Lee’s Summit! I grew up in Blue Springs, Missouri, and graduated from Blue Springs High School in 2015. I’m currently working on my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a focus on children’s literature, and I plan on teaching Kindergarten or first grade after graduation. I love working with this age of children because they are so bright and excited to learn! My favorite children’s book is called Big Black Bear by Wong Herbert Yee. It’s about a bear who comes to a little girl’s house and quickly learns how to use his manners! Erwin the dog is my favorite Primrose character because he emphasizes the importance of positive relationships. I’m so excited to see how we can make this school year even better than the last!

    I’m Ms. Olson. My name is Kerstin, but I go by Keri! I have been teaching Pre-K for 29 years. I began my career in Arizona where I worked with the Mesa Early learning programs. I received my education from Central Arizona University and Penn Valley Community College. In my free time I like to play pool, garden, read, and create birdhouses. I am so excited to work for primrose and prepare your child to be successful in Kindergarten.

    I’m Ms. Alex. I grew up in a small town called Bad Axe, Michigan, population of 3,000. I have a Bachelors in the Arts. While getting my degree, I worked at a daycare called Immanuel Lutheran Learning Center for 7 years. After I graduation, I went into the public schools at Bay City Public School and put my new knowledge on children and teaching techniques to the test. I recently moved to Kansas City, Missouri seeking new teaching opportunities, such as Primrose.

    Moving to Missouri has led to some exhilarating hobbies of mine, such as hunting, kayaking, reading books, drawing, or crafting with my cricut. One of my favorite books as a child would be “Nibbles: The Book Monster,” by Emma Yarlett. I love being outdoors and seeing the mountains. I love going out on the town to explore new foods and new places. But, my all time favorite food would have to be tacos and ice cream. I relate most to Erwin the Dog because of how creative he is. It’s fun bringing new ideas to the table. It helps keep the classroom dynamic open and welcoming to out of the box thinking. I am looking forward to creating new friendships with the children and staff. Creating new memories that will last a lifetime.
