Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Contact UsMs. Aryn has worked in childcare for the last 7 years. She is currently working towards her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. She believes that all children are unique and need a stimulating educational environment where they can blossom and grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. In her free time she loves to go shopping and hang out with her husband and their little boy! She is excited to be a part of the Primrose family and can’t wait to watch her students flourish!
Ms. Leslie has previously worked as the Human Resources Director for an auto group in St. Louis, Missouri. She and her family recently are recent Kansas Citians. Ms. Leslie knew that Primrose was the right choice when she wanted to switch gears in her career while focusing on her children. She and her husband have twins that go to our Primrose. She enjoys the administrative aspect of the position while being part of a team that's doing something amazingly positive for our families. “It is definitely a benefit, working somewhere you love while being close to your kiddos.” During her free time, she enjoys time with her family, good food, hiking, and podcasts.
Ms. Ashley comes to us with a degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. At a young age, she commands multiple achievements. In 2017, she was awarded the "Fastest Barista" at a Starbucks competition. She has worked at restaurants as a kitchen manager where she has helped expand the restaurant menu, created special menu items, oversaw the kitchen and catering orders while maintaining the Health Department codes. At our Primrose School, she helps create menus and recipes where healthy ingredients are used in creating our meals and snacks while taking into consideration the discerning tastes of our little "clients".
Ms. Shawnee is originally from the small town of Green Castle, Missouri, but now lives in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband, Michael, and their two sweet pups, Andy and Sadie!
She has Bachelors of Science degree in Educational Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Central Methodist University. With more than six years in the field, she has held positions as a paraprofessional in the public school setting, as a Registered Behavior Technician in the clinical setting, and where you may have seen her before, as a lead Pre-K and Preschool teacher here at Primrose School of Lee’s Summit!
She is excited to be back and to promote the many great qualities of early childhood education that the Primrose Schools’ encompass!
Mithra is passionate about nurturing your child’s education—a trait she learned from her father back in India. “My father was a leading pediatrician in my home state in South India,” says Mithra. “He saved a school that was poised to close and created a foundation to re-open it which helped give many of the city’s underprivileged youth a place to learn. Thousands of children have since graduated, gone on to college and broken their family’s cycle of poverty.”
Mithra—who has called Kansas City home for nearly 37 years—says opening her school is a “full-circle moment. I want to give back to my community. As a young parent myself once, I know the challenges parents face when they look for a safe and nurturing environment where their children can thrive,” she says.
With a double master’s in English Literature and Business Administration from KU, Mithra co-owned an IT consulting business for more than 18 years. Now, she’s excited to serve parents and their children in the beautiful suburbs of Kansas City, MO and Lee's Summit. “As an accredited leader in early education and care, we want to partner with parents to help children build the right foundation for future learning and life,” says Mithra. “Our goal? To help children have fun while building active minds, healthy bodies and happy hearts. I believe that 0-5 years are the most formative years of a child’s life. We want to nurture them and help them fully prepared for their future education—and for life itself.”
For Mithra, she’s determined to ensure your child is inspired to learn at Primrose. “It’s our Balanced Learning Approach® — which means we balance purposeful play along with nurturing guidance to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion so that your children can achieve their true potential. As our tagline says, ‘Who children become is as important as what they know.’ I’m taking that to heart. My father would be proud.”
