<p>Meet Joe and Theresa Thibodeau area residents and proud Franchise Owners of Primrose School of LaVista. Impressed by the quality of education Primrose provides and recognizing the need for more early childhood education options in the area, Joe and Theresa decided to open the Primrose school to the La Vista in 2014. Both born and raised in Omaha, Joe and Theresa were married in 2001 and are proud parents of three children. After graduating from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in psychology, Theresa began a career in human resources. When she became a mother, she struggled to find an early childhood education option for her children and chose to leave her job to stay home with them. After learning about Primrose, the Thibodeaus quickly became avid supporters of the brand. Teachers in our community have expressed the need for children to be better prepared upon entering kindergarten, said Theresa. Primrose stands out for its well-rounded learning experience for students in a safe and nurturing environment and we are impressed by its astounding reputation. We are thrilled with the opportunity to bring another option in early childhood education to the LaVista community. Theresa is an active member of the community, serving on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Midlands, the board of the La Vista Community Foundation, volunteering for St. Robert Bellarmine Parish church and School, Essential Pregnancy Services. Since opening in 2014 She has remained involved in the community by completing Leadership Sarpy and Leadership Omaha as well as winning the new and emerging business of the year award from the Sarpy County Chamber in 2015. Most recently Theresa just finished her first session as a Nebraska state senator. Theresa's goals are to represent the state of NE in the legislature and advocate for families and Early Childhood schools. Joe is graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center to earn his MD in 2001. He currently works as a cardiologist with Alegent Creighton Health and plays an active role in the Primrose School of La Vista. The Primrose School of La Vista features the exclusive Balanced Learning¬ system for children ages 6 weeks to 5-years-old. Developed by and taught exclusively at Primrose Schools, Balanced Learning blends teacher-directed and child-initiated activities with a special emphasis on character development in the schools. The goal of shaping young people who are prepared for success in learning and in life also filters into the Primrose Explorers after-school program for students up to age 12.</p>
