Debbie is a native of central Florida while Dion relocated to the area in 1982. Debbie graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in elementary education and Dion received his degree in social psychology with a minor in education. Dion and Debbie have been married for more than 25 years and have two children, Dawson and Danie, who, respectively, attend college in West Virginia and at Florida State University. Dion recently retired after 25 years of service with a local fire department and while discussing their retirement options Dion and Debbie became aware of Primrose Schools. They embraced the brand's mission to provide high-quality educational childcare to the community, while partnering with parents to help children build the right foundation for future learning and life. As a retired firefighter, safety is paramount to Dion and the Primrose Schools' exceed those expectations within an environment that builds Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts. Open since 2001, Primrose School of Hunter's Creek has been an important asset to the Hunter's Creek area and provides the Balanced LearningŒ¬ system for children ages six weeks to 5 years old. Developed by and taught exclusively at Primrose Schools, Balanced Learning blends teacher-directed and child-initiated activities with a special emphasis on character development in the schools. The goal of shaping young people who are prepared for success in learning and in life also filters into the Primrose Explorers after-school program for students up to age 12. For the first ten years of working with children I was a teacher and from there grew my career and have been working in a variety of leadership roles since that time. Early childhood education is my passion and I can’t see myself in any other field.
