Hello, my name is Charlotte Johnson and I have been the Director at Primrose School of Geist since July of 2019. My career in early childhood began as a Toddler teacher right out of high school. Since then, I have taught all age groups from Infants through Pre-K in various settings. I gained valuable leadership experience as a Team Lead, Program Specialist and Director, and had helped open two early childhood centers while I was in school. I hold three degrees including a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology. Prior to joining Primrose, I also worked in the ABA field as a Behavior Therapist and autism Clinic Manager. Working with children of varying abilities taught me so much about myself and my approach to education in general. I truly believe each child has individual strengths and needs and it is our job to love and nurture their spirit while providing natural learning opportunities.
I grew up in South-East Michigan, but have called North Indy my home since 2016. I briefly lived in Southern California in 2015. My husband and I welcomed our son in May of 2018. In my free time I enjoy reading, travelling, going to concerts and movies, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my family and friends.
My favorite part about my role at Primrose School of Geist is getting to know every child, parent, and teacher who make our school community amazing and special!

I am originally from Indianapolis and now live in McCordsville with my husband and our three children. I originally went to school for my CNA after high school and then took courses for Elementary Education at Ball State. I worked at my children’s preschool when they were young and did plenty of babysitting in my home as well. For the past several years I worked as an Instructional Assistant at New Pal High School, with students with special needs. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 18 years now. Hello, I'm Ms. Lauren Adams. I joined Primrose Geist when we first opened in 2017! I fell in love with teaching when I was 10 years old because of my math teacher who was a great example of how teachers can make an impact on children’s lives. I followed my love of teaching by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from DePauw University. After graduating, I have spent the last 10 years in a Pre-K classroom where I have been able to impact countless children and families by preparing them for elementary school. In my free time, I love to crochet, play board games, spend time with my husband and 8 step-children, walk with my 2 dogs, and travel to Las Vegas.
Hello, I'm Ms. Jana. I joined Primrose Geist in 2018, shortly after the school opened. I have been in the field of early childhood education since 2014. I have worked with various age groups within that time period, but my passion is working with toddlers. I currently attend Purdue University Global and am working on my B.S. in Early Childhood Administration with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).During my free time I like to paint and read. Working with young children is such a fulfilling career. No two days are the same, and there’s always something new to discover. Watching and assisting the children in meeting developmental milestones is very rewarding.
Hello, I’m Ms. Eileen. I joined the Toddler team at Primrose Geist in 2020. I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Homestead, Florida which is about 30 minutes south of Miami. There, I started my experience with working with children. I volunteered as a soccer coach with children ages 10-15 years old for about 4 years. During this time I also graduated from college with an Associates degree in physics. I love to use my free time to read a good book. What I enjoy most about working with kids is seeing each one of their personalities and getting to have fun with them everyday.
My name is Danielle Welty and I joined Primrose Geist in 2021. I am originally from Elkhart, Indiana, and now live in Anderson. My experience with children has been limited to my family and babysitting, though I have felt drawn to teaching for a while now. After high school, I attended Indiana Wesleyan University and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Design for Social Impact. My most recent role was as the Activities Director at an assisted living facility, where I loved coming up with activities and engaging the elderly residents. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors and taking walks, but I spend most of my time creating artwork. I love to paint, draw, sculpt, build, and recreate. When I’m not building my art portfolio I spend time with family and friends and love to play card games. I enjoy working with children because they are inspiring and creative, and they push me to come up with new solutions. I am absolutely fascinated by the joy children can radiate and love seeing their smiles every day!

In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband and our dogs, especially outside when the weather is nice. I love traveling, reading, and trying new restaurants as well. Hello, I'm Ms. Jackie! I joined Primrose in 2020. I am from New Whiteland, Indiana. I graduated High School in 2015 and did a semester studying Criminal Justice at Vincennes University and did 3 semesters studying Psychology at Ivy Tech Community College. I am currently finishing my CDA (Child Development Associates). I have worked with children since 2008. I've always wanted to work with children because I love seeing them learn new things while also figuring the world out and discovering who they are. I enjoy working with children because of their sense of no fear, creativity, and natural curiosity. I love when a child comes up to me and asks the multiple questions about whatever it is they are curious about. I'm very excited to learn new things not only from the Primrose Staff but also the children here at Primrose. I feel we can learn just as much from children as children can learn from us. My favorite color is purple and I'm a big fan of Carrie Underwood. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my boyfriend. I also enjoy watching football, hockey, baseball, Netflix, and occasionally attending concerts.
Hello, my name is Ellissa Doles. I joined the Early Preschool team at Primrose in 2020. I am originally from up north a bit, Elkhart, Indiana. I moved to Indianapolis few months ago to finish up my student teaching in a Kindergarten classroom here in Indy. I graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a minor in Applied Behavioral Analysis. While completing my degree I was able to gain some experience in childcare and in the ABA field. My senior year of high school, I worked at a secondary school for children of abuse and neglect. Once starting college, I worked at the Infant and Toddler Center at Ball State for three years before moving up with my toddlers to teach for a year in a preschool classroom. I decided to go into the field of working with children because they are just amazing tiny humans. They seem to amaze me every day with what they know and how quickly they pick different ideas up and put ideas together in such interesting ways. I really don’t think I could find something better than getting to be a part of this growth and to have the privilege to help mold that learning and development.

Hello, I'm Ms. Haylee! I joined Primrose in 2019. I am from Whiteland, Indiana. I have worked with children since 2016. I am thrilled to learn new things from not only the staff of Primrose but the students as well! I am currently enrolled in a CDA (Child Development Associate) program to further my education and continue to grow as teacher. I remember the impact every one of my teachers made on my school life. I knew I wanted to make that impact for someone since I was a little girl (even if it meant making my little brothers practice school on the weekends with me). I believe generosity is a key role in being a teacher. Having a heart big enough to share, being self-less, and always looking out for others, are a few of the characteristics I can relate to. I enjoy working with children because watching them grow and learn new skills makes me excited for their future. To see the lightbulb click above their head through their eyes can make my entire day!
Outside of working, I enjoy spending time with family, including my boyfriend and two bonus sons I am fortunate to have, our dogs, and friends! I enjoy camping, concerts, football, and a few Netflix episodes every once in awhile!
