The First Day of Childcare...Dropping off our son for his first day of daycare, back in January 2019, I remember consoling my husband outside the school. (He’s a crier, but don’t tell him I told you that.) He couldn’t shake the worried feeling, and said, “I just hope he knows we’re coming back.” I told him, and I reminded myself, that I believed our son was ready and that the experience of being without us would strengthen him, and seeing us walk back through the door later that day would secure him. I don’t know what made me sure of this other than the confidence Primrose of Frisco at Main/Teel gave me and my mama intuition. I felt that before anyone else, I first, needed to have the belief in my son and his capabilities – even at only 15 months old. I share this story with you for any parent out there leaving their child for the first time in the hands of a good teacher and school. Your child can do this! And, so can you!
Our son has continued going to school even through the pandemic. (Again, personal mama intuition on this choice. Please don’t judge.) School closures and the lockdowns were launched in March and Primrose of Frisco at Main/Teel didn’t skip a (heart) beat. Temp checks, no parents passed the front door, more curriculum outdoors, etc. – they were ready and willing and brave. There’s been excellent communication at all times.
At the beginning of the year, our son had begun the “terrible twos” and by March they were in FULL swing! Because of the continued support and attention from his teachers, his communication and growth have exceled! March, April, May, June, July, August – I can’t imagine and can’t thank this group of leaders and teachers enough for their dedication during this unprecedented time. And I can’t imagine the valuable time our son would have lost without the opportunity to attend school.
Our daughter recently joined her brother almost two months ago. Drop off was very different this time around, and now, it was ME crying with unrest. I knew she was capable; she had my confidence. But... we didn’t get to hold her hand while we walked her to class. It was a feeling I wasn’t used to, simply passing her off at the front door. But once again, I put my faith and trust in the teachers and they have helped guide this ship in so many ways.
In a world that feels so unpredictable, so “on the verge,” so uneasy, I am so thankful for the steadiness our teachers and family at Primrose of Frisco at Main/Teel have provided our family and so many others.
Thank you a million times! You all are leaders!

This Primrose location came highly recommended by a friend and we fell in love when we first visited. Our son has been going here since he was 10 weeks old and will be turning 2 in February. Everyone from the office staff to teachers have been amazing, especially during the crazy Covid times. We struggled at first with the new precautions being taken (so did our son), but now it's easy breezy! Everyone is so friendly and they really make an effort to make you feel part of a family. We could not be happier with our choice and rest easy knowing our son is in good hands while we work. Thank you Primrose Family!!!

The First Impression
For any parent it can be a difficult decision on which child care/early education place to pick. There are so many great ones in the Frisco area. We visited many places for our 3 kiddos and no other place made a better first impression than the Primrose School on Main and Teel. The staff also goes above and beyond to provide exceptional care and programming for each and every child. If that wasn't enough the staff treats your family like their very own. The same amazing leadership staff (Jessica, Whitney, Amanda and Rachel) have been there since we started with our kids 4 years ago. The same amazing welcome we received 4 years is the same incredible welcome we receive every day. They genuinely love each family and want the very best for your child. I highly recommend you visit or call if you are looking for child care/early education. You will not be disappointed.
Our youngest started when he was just a few months old (now 4yrs old) so he has had the chance to connect with so many of the incredible Primrose teachers. The teachers do an excellent job of sending us daily snapshots of him doing his work, activities and having fun. Each time he moves up you can tell how much the teachers love him because they are sad that he's leaving their class even though he's just moving to the next room :)
Education and Friends
Our son continues to amaze us with his increased vocabulary as well as letter writing and numbers knowledge. Academics, creativity, playtime, small groups, sing-a-longs, fun events, nutritious meals are just a few of things he gets to experience each day. We feel like he is definitely on track and will be ready for kindergarten. What also makes Primrose so great for Daxton is that he has made so many friends. In fact, the same friends that started with him in the nursery 4 years ago are still with him today. That says alot about Primrose at Main and Teel. It's not just our family that thinks the world of this place, but its many other families that love and appreciate how hard the staff works to give each child the best experience.
The new normal has definitely been a challenge for us all. The Staff at Primrose has made it a priority to stay ahead of the changes by thinking through the details and implementing health and safety precautions, making sure the children have a smooth transition from the main entrance to their classroom.
We absolutely love Primrose and are truly going to miss our Primrose family when the last of our kiddos heads to kindergarten.

We have attended this school for three years. I can’t say enough good things. What makes this school top notch is the front staff. Everyone knows there can be turnover in daycare, which happens everywhere, but because of the leadership up front the teachers, new or tenured, all are just as great. We have had some teachers for a while and they are wonderful. My daughter actually looks forward to going to school. They are attentive to our needs, address any concerns quickly and treat my kids like their own. Even with Covid and limited interaction with the classroom teacher, they send multiple updates and pics throughout the day so we know exactly what is going on and can see her educational growth. We really love our Primrose family and can’t imagine sending our kids anywhere else when we can’t be with them!

Excellent Team! We moved to Frisco last month and on my daughter’s first day they had a welcome flyer outside with her name on it! It was super sweet and very caring. They take a TON of pictures that helps any new parent deal with separation anxiety (haha) and they keep her busy with educational activities (matching, books, drawing, shapes, arts and crafts, etc.) which I certainly appreciate. On Fridays, we can write letters to her and they give her “mail” to her so she can read it (as best as she can). When I saw that they took a picture of what I wrote her and saw that she was holding the letter, I broke down. This is the what service excellence is about. Connecting with families and loving on our babies. I could go on and on about this place and about how attentive the staff are and how they take any feedback to heart and really care about these little angels. I’m the Happiest Mama Bear💞
