Health & Safety Practices in Place

  • All staff are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times
  • Drop off and pick up is at the front door vestibule by one parent or guardian
  • We have tape on both sides of the vestibule to encourage parents to maintain a safe six feet between parents while waiting for the vestibule to clear
  • Anyone entering the building will be screened and have their temperature checked by a Leadership Team member wearing a mask, gloves and a long sleeve smock
  • No one other than staff, children and emergency repair vendors and authorized state personnel are allowed in the building
  • Any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever are required to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 72 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys, surfaces and bathrooms
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
  • Limiting use of playground equipment to one classroom at a time
  • All Bottle Bags and Backpacks will remain at the school, items needing to be transported to and from the school (bottles, extra clothes, etc...) need to be in a zip lock plastic bag with your child's first name, last name and date on it
  • Limited the combining of groups and teachers, where possible we keep the same group and teachers together
