I am Nancy Gorges and I am so excited to be a part of the Primrose Family. I have over 30 years of experience in childhood education. I am continually in awe of how children grow and learn. I believe that learning opportunities are ever present and we can facilitate a child's learning in all that we do. Oh, I love watching children learn - children are amazing! I am married and have two children. I am a Colorado native and I love living here and being in the mountains. My two passions in life are a cold Coke and hot coffee... throw in a good book and I'm set! Time with my family is priceless and I value every second we spend together. I am the mother of three children. Though my educational background is in business my volunteer work kept taking me back to working with children. I have cared for, worked with and taught children from birth through high school for the past 25 years. We recently moved back to Colorado from Alaska where I worked as a preschool teacher and director for a private preschool. My philosophy is that each child is unique, therefore they learn and thrive at their own pace. I enjoy nurturing and caring for children. It fills my heart with joy to see the face of a child who has mastered a new skill or conquered a challenge.

Hello everyone! I can’t wait to meet everyone and learn more about you and your families. Here’s a little bit about me: I graduated from University of Colorado Boulder in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I like teaching in non-traditional classrooms—specifically outside. Teaching science, history, math and reading can sometimes be as easy as walking through our backyard and thinking critically about what we are observing; the simple act of playing in a complex world is so important for little learners to establish their unique identities. During my free time, when I’m not outside exploring, you can find me painting, playing with my animals, or making music with my roommates. I play piano, guitar, clarinet, and all saxophones fluently, and could probably muster a note or two on a brass instrument. I am so grateful to join the Primrose team. Let’s learn, play, and make some wonderful memories together!! Stay avid!

I love teaching the children and watching them have a huge smile on their face everyday when I come into work!
