We are the Yang family! Ethan (4 1/2 yrs) is now in PPK class; Shannon (7 yrs) is a proud Primrose alumna and now attends FBISD elementary school.
Our journey with Primrose School of First Colony began in summer 2014 when Shannon turned two. The grandparents went back to China and both me and my husband had to work. We were desperately looking for a daycare, and the first stop was the one that is closest to our house—Primrose School of First Colony, which turned out to be our final stop! I couldn’t be more thankful to have found such an amazing childcare establishment. I still remembered on our school tour how I was impressed by their super friendly and professional staff, the well-organized classrooms, and the enticing aroma of homemade food from the kitchen. As a first time parent, having to put my child into daycare was something I was not looking forward to (to say the least). Not only was the thought of being away from my child devastating, but to leave her with “strangers” was quite a scary thought. Today, I can honestly say that the staff at Primrose School of First Colony treat us like family. So when Ethan turned two in 2016, even though we had moved out of this neighborhood, without any hesitation, we sent him to Primrose together with his sister. When I dropped them off each day, I was completely at ease because I knew they were being cared for as if they were one of their own. For that peace of mind, I cannot thank Primrose School of First Colony enough.
Shannon graduated from Primrose in 2017, and because of the wonderful scholastic environment Primrose provided to its children, she not only adapted to the “big kid school” very well, but also was identified as a GT student.
Now Ethan is transitioning to PPK2 and has been here for almost three years. He has grown so much, from a shy toddler who did not speak much English to a joyful, boisterous (yet well-mannered, thanks to Primrose!) little boy who knows his letters, is happy to share (most of the time) and has formed strong bonds with the other children he has grown up with at Primrose.
We view ourselves as extremely lucky to have found the Primrose School of First Colony. Thank you for providing a friendly atmosphere for our kids where they can learn and grow. All your teachers and workers are reliable, respectful, caring, and fun-loving. You’re truly the best!
