“Allison joined the Primrose family in April 2016.
While her outward appearance at 3 months old seemed “normal”, Allison had undergone an in-utero surgery at 24 weeks of pregnancy due to a neural tube defect (Spina Bifida). This would present her with a different level of challenges to overcome in life. As her parents, we were on a mission to find a place that would provide the extra level of care she would require. Initially, we enrolled Allison in the Pearland Parkway Primrose. We met with the staff there and were immediately at ease and knew this is where she belongs! We were honest about the knowns and the unknowns of her development and Primrose graciously accepted Allison. (Ms. Rosie was Allison’s favorite!)
When Allison started to walk, with the assistance of a pediatric walker, the staff went the extra mile to make sure each classroom she advanced to was designed so Allison could freely navigate the room. She would still be enrolled at the Pearland Parkway Primrose if it were not for our move to Sugar Land in July 2020. Mom and dad’s desire was to find a one-story home (we were living in a two-story home) to accommodate Allison and to be closer to Houston for work and the medical center. Can you imagine how elated we were during our research of Sugar Land Primrose schools to learn the Papadopulos Family not only owned the Pearland Parkway location, they also owned the Austin Parkway location. We reached out to the Director at the Pearland Parkway location to ask about a transfer to the Austin Parkway location. We were quickly advised that would not be an issue. The transfer from Pearland Parkway Primrose to Austin Parkway Primrose was seamless. A team member associated with both locations made sure the classroom was set up properly for Allison’s first day at Austin Parkway.
Allison has made many new friends. Allison has celebrated more milestones. We are very grateful to our Primrose family for theircontinued loved and support.
