Hi There! We are the Washington Family!

Our little tribe consists of Mom (Toi), Dad (Delvin) and our ever so curious toddler, Devin. We reside in Rosenberg and we just LOVE Primrose First Colony!

When we found out were expecting our first child, finding the best school became one of our highest priorities, especially with mom and dad’s hectic work schedules. We immediately began to do research and we took many notes- mom kept a notebook in her purse to jot down names of different schools to consider. We knew Devin would be starting very early, so it was important for us to find a place that not only focused on safety, cleanliness and curriculum, but a place where our child would truly be taken care of.

We toured many schools within the Rosenberg and Sugarland area, but the name Primrose had always sat in the forefront of our minds. Mom had heard of the school’s reputation long before parenthood, and decided to look into everything the schools had to offer. Imagine the surprise to find there were so many different locations and within the area! How does one choose? For us, Primrose First Colony was a no brainer. From the first phone call with the office staff, to the warmth and welcome we received during our first tour. Everyone always treated us with care and kindness. We knew our baby would be best here.

Devin started Primrose at 10 weeks old and we have never had to question our decision to place him here. Therefore, it was bitter sweet when we decided to pull him out for 6 months due to the effects of COVID-19. When we decided it was ok for him to return, going back was seamless and easy. Although we were still quite nervous, the staff welcomed him back and put us at ease with the precautions that are in place to ensure the safety of the staff and children. Ms. Ana and Mrs. Liz patiently answered all of our questions and made sure that we were comfortable.

Fast forward a few months. Devin is thriving so much! He LOVES going to school. So much that on weekends he grabs his shoes or his coat and says “School”. He loves books, animals, dancing, coloring, and painting and let us not forget talking! He is using more and more words every week and we were so pleased that he is being taught to use sign language. He is learning so much outside of the home and that was one huge determining factor in choosing a school. We see the positive impacts of his time at Primrose bursting through him every single day. We notice the detail and time that goes into teaching and caring for him, down to the tiniest things.

As nervous first time parents, Primrose First Colony has been heaven sent. We adore our Primrose family. We are so thankful for everyone that has helped mold our little boy and look forward to his future here.
