Schedule A TourImportant Health and Safety information for Primrose Schools families and staff
Read MoreWe wanted the very best for our daughter Chloe, and knowing she would spend so much time at daycare, we did a lot of research on daycares in the area. Armed with a checklist that Mom found in the book Positive Discipline: The First Three Years, we toured 13 different local daycares and asked lots of questions about curriculum, discipline philosophy, and safety. Our top two choices were a close tie for first, but ultimately went with Primrose because of the low student-to-teacher ratio. We have been extremely pleased with Primrose the entire two years that Chloe has attended. Her teachers adore her as if she were their own child, and she feels safe, secure, and loved at school. Her development has astounded us, and our friends and family comment on how advanced she seems.
We were pleased to learn that Primrose's curriculum does not rely on electronics, and we are seeing the fruit of their sound, research-based curriculum in Chloe's excellent language skills. Mom also loves that Chloe has learned to clean up her toys with the "clean up" song, and that she knows she is not supposed to hit but instead use "soft hands." We love to see the pictures in her daily reports, and she always looks like she is engaged and having fun with the variety of activities her class does every day. Good nutrition was another important criterion for us, and Primrose's menu was the best we found among all the schools we toured. Chloe cleans her plate every day, so it must be delicious, too!
We also appreciate that Primrose works closely with us when any issues come up. For example, Chloe has sensitive skin, so she is prone to issues with sweaty feet as well as diaper rash. Primrose has been very scrupulous about changing her socks to keep her feet dry, as well as applying diaper cream to keep her skin healthy. Now in the age of COVID-19, we have another reason to be thankful that Chloe is at Primrose. Their rigorous health and safety policies give us comfort that we can still send Chloe to school despite the pandemic, and we are relieved and thankful that Primrose has not had any COVID-19 cases. As an active and social 2-year-old, Chloe really benefits from the social and physical outlet that school provides. We would have a hard time meeting all her needs if she were home all day!
