Schedule A TourWelcome to the Primrose School of Erie at Vista Ridge. Like all Primrose Schools, it is locally owned and managed. Kent and Becky Cookson along with Chris Lang and Shannan Meyer are the owners of the Primrose School of Erie at Vista Ridge. Together since 2006 we have prided ourselves on ensuring that we offer the best early care and education to the families in our schools.
As a team we work hard to ensure that our schools provide the best educational childcare, preschool and kindergarten in our communities. We know firsthand the importance parents place on the safety and education of their children. Since opening our first school in 2006 it has been our honor and privilege that our parents have entrusted their children to our care and we are committed to living up to that trust.
We are conveniently located on Ridge View Drive, right down the street from Black Rock Elementary School and Columbine Mine Park. Unlike an ordinary daycare in Erie, we provide your child with a robust early education and child care experience.

To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
At Primrose Schools® Summer Adventure Club, learning meets fun through hands-on activities—like sports, robotics, and more—that encourage creativity, compassion and resourcefulness.
Our new exclusive Harmony & Heart® program integrates our proprietary music and books in a variety of thoughtful ways each day. Through learning about music, while simultaneously being exposed to concepts in math, language, and character development, your child will grow as a musician, a student, and a person.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
