    Pre-K Teacher

Hi, my name is Shagufta Tamboli and I’m excited to be a Lead teacher here at Primrose School of East Windsor.I’m looking forward to getting to know your child and for you to get to know me! I love teaching young kids because early childhood education can help develop strong self esteem, independence and build brighter future. This will be my sixth year working with children and helping them reach their potential.

I have a bachelors degree and additional certifications from Middlesex County College in New Jersey.

Prior to working at Primrose, I worked as an Assistant Teacher for 2 years, teaching 4-5 yr olds Math and English. I also led science experiments and arts and crafts projects. Before that I was the Kids Academy Supervisor for 3 years where I supervised kids aged 2 months to 12 years old also providing homework help.

My favorite children’s book is “The Kissing Hand.” I read this book to my own kids when they were preschoolers as it explains how the comfort of a mother’s kiss can make the child easily breeze through the first few days of preschool.

In my free time, I love to read different genres of novels - especially thriller and romance. One of my favorite things to do is curl up in a corner of a room with a novel in one hand and a mug of hot tea in the other. Ask me about the book I am reading now, when we meet.

Welcome to Primrose School of East Windsor!

We are Rashmi Agarwal and Shailendra Poddar, the proud owners of Primrose School of East Windsor. We have two wonderful children – a daughter who attends college in Boston and a son who is in middle school. We also have a cute puppy named Enzo. We both come from a business background and from families where education was very important to be independent and well-rounded. We are proud to bring the best early childhood education to the vibrant, diverse and family-friendly community of East Windsor, NJ, to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children.

I am a Certified Public Accountant and have worked in leadership roles in the finance industry for more than 20 years. I was integral in shaping and growing a large company and managing U.S. and international operations. As a working mom, I realized very early how important premium, high-quality early childhood education and care is in shaping our children’s futures. My lifelong dream has been to own and operate an early childhood education center and after my research on various education providers, I was very attracted to the mission and vision of Primrose and decided to open a Primrose school with my husband. Shailendra is a technology executive and previously owned a business and managed staff and operations.

Our goal is to ensure our school becomes an extension of your home and family. We are committed to hiring, developing and retaining an experienced, engaged and loving team that not only delivers the curriculum but also models the positive behaviors and attitudes of the Primrose family. We believe that a happy team leads to a happy day for our children and parents.

At Primrose, we believe who children become is as important as what they know. Primrose provides a research-informed, time-tested curriculum and a Balanced Learning® approach that balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing early learning experience for children and their families.

Finding care for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent, and I promise you will love Primrose School of East Windsor. We hope you will give us the opportunity to show you how much of a difference we can make in your children’s foundational skills to develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts®.

The importance of education has always been stressed throughout our lives and Primrose embodies all the values that we hold dear. We have seen how a quality early education foundation has positively impacted our children and we hope to share the benefits with your family.

We look forward to meeting you!
