Schedule A TourMs. Powers is the Primrose School of Dunwoody's Executive Director and is truly the leader of our wonderful school! Ms. Powers earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Childhood Education from Robert Morris University. As an educator, Ms. Powers has been in early childhood education since 2007 and joined the Primrose team in November 2014. When asked why Ms. Powers chose education as her career, she stated, “I can’t think of a more rewarding career - I learn from children just as much as they learn from me and I admire their endless energy, creativity and honesty. “ Ms. Powers believes Primrose provides endless opportunities for children of all ages. She also believes in servant leadership and providing the very best culture and work environment for the faculty and staff at Primrose.
Ms. Ruchira is the Assistant Director for Primrose Dunwoody and manages all campus operations to include health and safety. Prior to joining the Primrose School of Dunwoody in August 2017, Mrs. Ruchira earned her Bachelor's Degree in Finance and worked in Human Resources as a corporate trainer. When asked why she enjoys working with children, she said, “children are adorable, funny and smart and I just love being around them. You can never have a bad day that isn't remedied by surrounding yourself with Primrose children!”. Mrs. Ruchira has 1 child that graduated from Primrose Dunwoody and a second child currently enrolled. She believes in the Primrose proprietary curriculum and has seen first-hand how Primrose promotes an environment which supports students to be academically and social-emotionally ready to be leaders in elementary school.
Ms. Candice Floyd is our Curriculum Director and ensures fidelity in the implementaion of the Primrose proprietary curriculum! Ms. Candice has taught in the early childhood education section since 2010. Ms. Candice was most-recently employed in the Kindergarten through 5th grade public school sector, having worked in the Gwinnett, Dekalb and Rockdale County Public School systems. While earning her degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University, she also worked at an accredited private preschool and worked with children ages 3 months to 6 years old. Ms. Candice is thrilled to join Primrose as she shares the same core values in serving children and supporting teachers as they continue to provide the best and most trusted education and care.
Mrs. Laura is a graduate from the University of Dayotn with a Backelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching. She joined Primrose Schools in 2009 as the Private Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Teacher and was promoted to Curriculum Director in 2015. She has also consulted with several Atlanta-area Primrose Schools and is now enjoying her part-time role as a Curriculum Program Manager. She possesses a vast knowledge of Primrose curriculum, curriculum implementation, and teacher coaching, development and training.
Ms. Hannah is Primrose Dunwoody's Curriculum Coordinator and supports the Teachers and Staff in implementing the Primrose curriculum. She joined the Primrose team in April 2015 and possesses experience working with children of all ages in the classroom. She is also a volleyball coach for Dunwoody High School. Ms. Hannah possesses a CDA, Early Childhood Education Certification. When asked why Ms. Wells chose to work with children, she stated, "I love teaching children and witnessing the excitement when they have learned new things." Ms. Hannah's personality and enthusiasm also contribute to the wonderful culture at Primrose Dunwoody!
Ms. Ariel Williams joined the Primrose Team in July 2020 as the Lead Kindergarten Teacher. Ms. Williams has worked in the early childhood education sector since 2017. Of those years, she has worked with a Georgia Lottery Funded PreK and a Kindergarten class in Dekalb County. Ms. Williams attended Alabama State University where she graduated with her bachelors in Elementary Education. When asked what she is most excited about this school year, she said “I am most excited about the new teaching styles Primrose offers. I am also very excited to meet my new students and help them advance to their highest potential.” When asked why she enjoys working with children, she said “Children have great energy and you can feel that. I love to leave an impact on children so that they will remember me for years to come. It’s all about building relationships. Also, I love to introduce new and fun ways to learn in order to keep children engaged. Ms. Williams loves working for Primrose! She says, “Primrose is very hands-on with student and staff. They offer a lot of tools and resources to help you grow as an educator."
Ms. Maritza joins us with five years of childcare experience, teaching Preschool for three years and Private Pre-K for two years. She has an associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Perimeter College and is currently finishing her bachelor’s from the University of Phoenix. She is excited to work closely with the teachers, children, and families this school year!
Ms. Daisha relocated to the Atlanta area from Columbus, Ohio in December 2020. She graduated from Marshall University with her undergrad in Early Childhood Education and masters in Mental Health Counseling. Ms. Daisha joins us with ten years of childcare experience working with infants through adolescents. Though new to PSD, Ms. Daisha is not new to the Primrose experience as she was previously employed for a Primrose School in Ohio. Ms. Daisha shares why she enjoys working with children, “Children pull out your creativity and fun side. I love that basic, yet critical concepts can be taught in such an exciting way. As much as children learn from us, we learn so much from them and about ourselves from our interactions. Children can be molded, guided, and led in the right direction. I enjoy being part of that influence!”
Ms. Bipasha joins us with seven years of childcare experience working with children of various ages. She obtained her bachelors and master’s degree in sociology from Calcutta University, India. She also holds a teaching certification. Ms. Bipasha has always had a passion for teaching. She feels it is a great privilege to be able to spend each day with young, curious minds. She looks forward to watching the children bloom into confident self-sufficient learners.
Mrs. Sheri joined the Primrose Team in August 2020 as the Lead Teacher in our Preschool II program. She comes to us with 16 years of childcare experience. Mrs. Sheri attended Bethany Bible College where she took courses in Early Childhood Education. She then got her CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) licenses and worked as a nursing aide at a senior care facility. When asked what she is most excited about this school year, she said “I am most excited about watching the children learn and have joy in the process. I love watching them grow both socially and academically.” When asked why she enjoys working with kids, she said “Children are joyful in the most innocent ways. Small things make their day- a funny song, being silly, noises. I enjoy their love of life that as adults we sometimes forget.”
Ms. Stephanie joins us with two years of childcare experience working with children of various ages. She currently attends Georgia Gwinnett College pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Stephanie looks forward to getting to know the children and supporting their growth and development.
Ms. Emily joins us with six years of childcare experience working with children of various ages, preschool through 3rd grade. Though new to PSD, she is not new to the Primrose Preschool Curriculum. Ms. Emily has most recently taught at a Primrose School in Texas prior to relocating back to Georgia. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University. Ms. Emily is thrilled to continue teaching a curriculum she loves to an age group she adores, all while in Dunwoody where she was born and raised. She looks forward to further getting to know the children and their families.
Ms. Samantha relocated to the Atlanta area in 2018 from Bronx, New York. She graduated from Monroe College where she obtained an associate degree in Medical Assistance. She joins us with two years of childcare experience. Prior to relocating to Dunwoody, she was employed at a pediatric clinic where children receive speech and occupational therapy. Ms. Samantha adores children and is thrilled to continue her journey working with them at the Primrose School of Dunwoody.
Ms. Paola joined the Primrose family in February 2018. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Ms. Paola moved to the United States when she was 19 years old. Ms. Paolo is pursuing a nursing degree specializing in pediatric care. She loves working with children and they love her too! On the weekends, Ms. Paola enjoys outdoor activities and serving the community through the Young Adult Ministry.
Ms. Neirah joins us as the Co-Lead Teacher in the Preschool Pathways Program! She obtained her Childcare Development Associates and has over ten years of childcare experience – five of those years spent at two Primrose School locations. Ms. Neirah has a passion for teaching and is thrilled to continue implementing the Primrose Curriculum to its highest fidelity.
Ms. Rashaad joined us with two years of childcare experience working with children of various ages. She is currently pursuing Early Childhood Development from Delgado Community College. Ms. Rashaad has loved getting to know the children, families, and teachers. She looks forward to being greeted with smiles and hugs each day from the children.
Ms. Janet joins us with two years of childcare experience working with Infants and Toddlers. When asked what she enjoys most about working with children she states, “It is a pure joy being with children! I am a firm believer that children can turn any frown upside down and they bring such positive energy to this world.” Ms. Janet looks forward to getting to know the children and interacting with them on a daily basis.
Ms. Tiffany joins us with over 20 years of childcare experience working with children of various ages. Though she loves all the different age groups she has taught, her favorites are two- and three-year-olds. Ms. Tiffany enjoys playing a vital role in ensuring the children reach their milestones while having a continued love for learning. When asked what she is most excited about this school year, she says "I love being able to assist children at every milestone".She is thrilled to be a part of the team and is very excited to work closely with the teachers and children!
Ms. Boahene has worked in childcare for fifteen years and joined the Primrose team in June 2008. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Services from Shorter University. When asked why Mrs. Boahene enjoys working with young children, she stated, “Children make me laugh; they teach me patience and love. I get to relax, be myself, and act silly with them- that is an awesome feeling!” Ms. Boahene truly believes the Balanced Learning Curriculum provided will build active minds, healthy bodies and happy hearts for all children at our school.
Ms. Chandrika Gurung joined the Primrose Team in August 2020 as a Teacher in our Infant Classrooms. She comes to us with two years of childcare experience. Ms. Chandrika has her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University.When asked what she was most excited about this school year, she said “I am most excited about meeting all new faces and learning new things alongside the children.” When asked why she enjoys working with children, she said “I love how children are so innocent and lovable. I love to play with them and watch them discover new things in the process.” Ms. Chandrika loves working for Primrose!She says, “I love the values and goals Primrose has set forth not only for the students but for the staff as well.”
Ms. Juandrea joins us with years of childcare experience and has three children of her own. She looks forward to playing a vital role in each child’s learning and development. She is excited to get to know the children and their families.
Ms. Diana joins us with seven years of childcare experience working with children of various ages. She has attended three years of Law School. When asked, what is her favorite thing about children, she said "it fills with the joy they give and I get to learn something new from them every day. I love their sincerity, affection and spirit." In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and watch movies.
Ms. Katherine Sidon joined the Primrose Dunwoody team in August 2017 as a Teacher in our Young Toddler Class. Ms. Katherine worked as an Assistant Teacher for Primrose Johns Creek and Marietta Hwy while in High School. After graduating high school, Ms. Katherine joined the Army and served our country for 7 years. Since then, Ms. Katherine earned an Associate’s Degree in Health Administration, is working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, and has worked full-time as a Nanny while attending college. When asked what she is most excited about this year, she stated “I look forward to learning more about the music activities.” When asked why she enjoys working with children, she said “I have been around children all my life including growing up in the orphanage myself.”
Ms. Zuri joins us with seven years of childcare experience working with children of various ages. She has enjoyed getting to know the children and looks forward to fostering a love for learning. Ms. Zuri is thrilled to collaborate and work closely with the Wonder Program Teachers to bring her creativity to life in the classroom. Please join us in welcoming Ms. Zuri to the Primrose family!
Ms. Kimberly joins us with two years of childcare experience working with Infants and Toddlers. She absolutely adores children and looks forward to playing a vital role in helping the children achieve their developmental milestones. Ms. Kimberly is thrilled to provide love, care, and education for each child in the class.
Ms. Imelda joined us in April 2022 as an Infant 3 Teacher. She has 3 years of childcare experience working with Infants and Toddlers. Ms. Imelda thoroughly enjoys getting to know each child on an individual basis and watching them grow and develop over time. She has expressed how rewarding it has been working with children and looks forward to seeing the joy and smiles on each child’s face daily. She attended the Atlanta Beauty and Barber Academy and is a Master Cosmetologist.
Ms. Neika joined the Primrose Dunwoody team in February 2020. She was previously at our sister school, Primrose of Roswell North for 2 years. She has worked with children for more than three years, including working at a Federal Law training base in Brunswick, GA, at their Little Rookies Daycare. She also worked in customer service for ten years. Working with children is something that she has always enjoyed doing. She is so excited to meet new kids and watch them grow. Her mom, Ms. Michelle, is also part of the Primrose team. She is so glad to be a part of Primrose!
Ms. Martha joins us with years of childcare experience. She looks forward to playing a vital role in each child’s learning and development. She is excited to get to know the children and their families.

Ms. Janeth joins us with two years of child care experience. She loves playing with children and enjoys being with them. She looks forward to playing a vital role in each child’s learning and development.
Ms. Lebreya joins us with three years of childcare experience working with children of various ages. She looks forward to getting to know the children and their families. She is also thrilled to witness each child reach important milestones and play a vital role in their learning and development.
Ms. Shazia joins us with twelve years of childcare experience working with Infants through fifth-grade. Over the years, she has developed a passion for providing love, care and education for Infants and Toddlers specifically. Ms. Shazia looks forward to getting to know each child's likes and dislikes, witnessing the development and growth, and building a partnership with all parents.
Ms. Comfort currently attends the University of West Georgia where she will obtain a bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Health. She joins us with 5 years of childcare experience working with children of all ages; however, she especially adores the babies! Ms. Comfort looks forward to playing a role in the development of each child. With her experience, warm personality, and passion for working with children, we are excited to have her join the Primrose family!
Ms. Soraya joins us with four years of childcare experience working with children. In her free time, she loves to read and hangout with family & friends. When asked why Ms. Hocker enjoys working with children, she stated "she loves to watch them learn & interact with each other." She is thrilled to be a part of the team and is very excited to work closely with the teachers and children!
Ms. Michelle joins us from our sister-school, Primrose School of Roswell North; where she has worked for two years as an Infant Teacher. We are thrilled to have promoted Ms. Michelle to this lead role. Prior to working at Primrose, Ms. Michelle worked as an Infant Teacher at the Federal Law Training Base in Brunswick at their Little Rookies Daycare. Ms. Michelle is excited to join our school and looks forward to meeting the children and their families. When asked what she is most excited about this school year, she says " I am excited to see my new students grow and develop into their own little personalities."
Ms. Gyuzal Abdusamatova joined the Primrose Dunwoody team in April 2016 as a teacher in our Toddler Classroom. Ms. Gyuzal previously lived and worked in Uzbekistan as a teacher of the Russian language. Her childcare experience includes teaching children ages 2-4 years old for a total of four years. When asked what she is most excited about this year, she stated “I am excited to work in a new place where I can be helpful and happy.” Ms. Gyuzal has enjoyed her experience so far at Primrose from working with a group of nice group of coworkers, families and children.
Ms. April has joined us with twenty years of childcare experience, thirteen of those years teaching at the Primrose School of Meadowbrook in Alabama. When asked what she is most excited about this school year, she stated “Working with children is the most rewarding job I can think of. Knowing that my job is to help children reach their full potential brings a huge smile to my face. My passion is teaching children. I strive to be the teacher that my students remember long after they have left my classroom.” When asked why she enjoys working at Primrose, she stated “I worked at Primrose school of Meadowbrook in Alabama for almost 13 years. Working at Primrose makes you feel like you are a part of a team, really part of a family. I also love how Primrose includes the staff, children, parents, and the community in different activities throughout the year.”
Ms. Evelyn is a recent graduate from Cross Keys High School. While employed at Primrose, she has plans to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy. Ms. Evelyn has always had a passion for working with children and looks forward to playing a vital role in the development of each child and witnessing their continued growth.She is excited to work closely with the teachers, children, and families this school year!
Ms. Kem joined us in March 2017 with a tremendous amount of Primrose knowledge, relocating from the Primrose School of Lawrenceville. Ms. Kem earned her Associates in Human Services and has a passion for working with children and their families. She enjoys spending her free time at church and with her family and friends.
Ms. Nirmala joined us with two years of childcare experience working with children of various ages. She obtained a master's degree in computer application from Anna University, Tanjavur India. Ms. Nirmala looks forward to getting to know the children and working closely with each class.
Ms. Ninoska joins us with several years of childcare experience working with children of all ages. Though her professional background has been in accounting, she has developed a love and passion for working with children. She looks forward to supporting the teachers in the Infant Program and getting to know all of the children.

Larry and Lynn discovered Primrose when searching for a high-quality, educational preschool for their children in 2011. What they found at the Primrose School of Dunwoody was not only the leader in educational childcare, but also their own passion and desire to make a difference in the lives of children in the community. And after two years of working toward owning a Primrose School, Larry and Lynn acquired the Primrose School of Dunwoody on August 29, 2014.
Larry and Lynn have a strong background in business. Larry earned his MBA in Marketing and Finance from Georgia State University, previously co-owned a successful business for 10 years and worked at the senior management level in marketing, strategy, and finance for three of the largest Atlanta-based employers. Lynn earned her Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from Troy State University and possesses 20 years experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in Learning and Development.
