Contact UsDeshunna McFarlin is the Director of Primrose School of Dripping Springs. Deshunna graduated from Southern University and A&M college with a Bachelors in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Deshunna has been with the Primrose family since we opened our doors in March 2017. She started out as the Explorers teacher for the after school and summer program. The following year, August 2018, she moved to the Pre-Kindergarten classroom where she stayed until being promoted to the Curriculum Coordinator position May of 2019. In the Spring of 2022, Deshunna was promoted to Director of the Primrose School of Dripping Springs. Deshunna is truly passionate and intentional when it comes to educating and engaging with children.
Deshunna is from Houston, Tx and she loves to spend time with her family, and wife Shaunie. Deshunna really loves to listen to Audible books and to go on outdoor adventures. Her favorite children's book is Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. Deshunna relates to the Primrose friend, Benjamin the Bear, the most because of her love of learning through music.
McKenzie Roberts is the Assistant Director of Admissions and Marketing for the Primrose School of Dripping Springs. McKenzie has been a integral part of the Primrose Family since 2017. She started as a support staff member, then transitioned to the lead teacher in Early Preschool. July 2018, she became the lead teacher in Preschool and a year later transitioned to lead in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom. Family is very important to McKenzie, she enjoys spending quality time with them and her husband, Bailey.
McKenzie also helped launch the Mentoring Program in 2018 and most recently has supported the school as Curriculum Coordinator. Her favorite children's book is Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. McKenzie most relates to the Primrose friend, Molly the Cow, because respecting others is really important and her goal is to continue to create a positive school environment. McKenzie is very passionate about the Primrose mission and vision and is very excited to serve in this role!
The Rolfsen and Gillies families welcome you to the Primrose School of Dripping Springs. Our family became interested in Primrose Schools through the great education and experiences Lauren and Payton Gillies both shared at the Primrose School of Round Rock. Impressed by the quality of education Primrose provides and recognizing the importance of early childhood education, our family is excited for the opportunity to be a part of Primrose and play a role in shaping the lives of children and families in the Austin area.
Chris and Shannan Rolfsen have a son Callen and a daughter Aubri who both attend Primrose. Chris comes from a 15 year career in Business Operations with Motorola/Freescale. He leads operations for the Primrose School of Dripping Springs. Chris also serves on the Primrose Advisory Council representing the best interests for Franchise Owners and their schools.
Jerry Gilles, father of Lauren and Payton, has worked in leadership positions in the financial service industry for over 25 years, most recently 17 years with Dell Financial Services. He leads the operations of the Round Rock school.
The schools feature the exclusive Balanced Learning® program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Developed by and taught exclusively at Primrose Schools, Balanced Learning blends teacher-directed and child-initiated activities with a special emphasis on character development in the schools.
