After living in various cities in the Midwest, Chris and Ashley were looking for a change of pace. The combination of over 300 days of sunshine, various outdoor activities, and scenic views for miles made Colorado an appealing choice. After packing up their belongs and beloved dog, Ellie, they settled into Denver almost 10 years ago and haven’t looked back.
As an avid golfer, it’s common to find Chris out on the links as soon as the temps are above 40 degrees. When he isn’t golfing, he can be found testing out new recipes on his smoker for friends and family. Ashley’s penchant for sports developed late in life, as she started playing recreational volleyball soon after moving to Denver and has recently taken up tennis.
Though the years of escaping to the mountains first thing in the morning to ski and staying out a little too late to enjoy a concert at Red Rocks have been slightly put on the back burner since welcoming our son Lincoln in 2016, we wouldn’t change it for the world.
Lincoln takes after his father and enjoys all things sports-related. Give him a ball and he’s content for hours. He enjoys weekend trips to the library or zoo and has a knack for making his Mom’s blood pressure rise with his fearlessness on the playground.
While Lincoln thoroughly enjoyed his time at home turning Tupperware into musical instruments and constructing various objects out of Play-Doh, we felt that a school setting would provide him a place to gain a sense of self, explore and play with peers, and grow in a fun and structured setting.
After touring a handful of schools in the area, we were most pleased with Primrose and the amount of care and personalized attention they give each child. Since starting almost a year ago, Lincoln’s experience has been so nurturing and stimulating that his transition from classroom to classroom has been easy. We are so grateful for the wonderful care our son has received and have enjoyed being a part of the Primrose Family.
