Our Community Commitment

We understand in order for us to be leaders in the educational field we need to develop leaders, therefore we were called to the Leader In Me program which originates from Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. This is a whole school transformational model that equips and empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. Under this model we believe that everyone has a genius and that anyone can be a leader. In preparation for our Back to School academic year we created an opportunity for our faculty to continue to build roots with our Be True platform. We invited Dr. Rose Marie Allen to collaborate with us for an Equity, Diversity & Integration training during our professional development day in August. This enabled our teams the time to have powerful conversations about race, racial identity and racism and how we see implicit bias in our classrooms. During this impactful presentation we started the process of how we educate in an anti-racist manner.
